i haven't been around to continue making gifs because i broke one of my fingers so please excuse any typos here i will be back with more gifs though. however i am here to talk about prodigy. i am a big janeway x chakotay shipper and honestly i am okay with what prodigy had given us.

I feel as if a lot of people are forgetting that prodigy is a kids show meant to focus on THE KIDS. not the legacy crews and characters we all know. there were so many great special appearances in season 2 and the writers did an amazing job of including other characters.

people are complaining there wasn't enough lovey dovey romance stuff between janeway and chakotay, yet for me there was enough in the context of their interactions to make ceratin things in the books canon.

again, this is a show directed at children. it's written for children and the context is meant to be understood by the adults. think of all the kids shows you watched when you were younger and never understood the underlying jokes and context until you watched it again when you were older.

there was so much said in the scenes between janeway and chakotay, even the kids were written to pick up on it. i mean y'all the joke dal made about the ready room? im 100% okay with what prodigy had offered in terms of janeway x chakotay without taking away from the main plot of the show or the main characters, for me it was well done and well implied while keeping the show family oriented and directed at kids.
