I’m so tired of the narrative that starker is a dying fandom. I know I wasn’t here for the “glory days” but my god. I personally post twice a week, I see the tag being updated all the time, there are still servers, people still talk. I have friends in fandoms that are actually dying as in there’s literally six of them still active. We have it so good in starker, you don’t even know.

I totally understand being frustrated but when you’re scrolling the starker tag and there are more posts complaining that there’s not enough content instead of the actual content, it’s so disheartening. Especially as someone who puts out so much content, and has even been making a bigger effort to post on tumblr, it makes me question what people even want. Like how about you add to the content instead of complaining?

i’d like to add: fandom is not a consumer economy! if you want your fandom to stay “alive” you have to contribute to it. post fics, manips, headcanons or prompts; search out discord servers or other groups; learn to make fancams/edits/whatever the hell you want to call them.

just do something. sitting back and demanding that everyone else feed you while you’re not willing to help grow the food is shitty fandom etiquette.
