Here I reblog screenshots and gifs of outfits from the show, outfits and accessories I think Stede would enjoy (regardless of time period; I always tag accordingly), meta analysis of the show that involves Stede’s clothing, and behind-the-scenes information about costuming.

I don’t tag garments from the show with classifications or colors - those are for the outfit ideas I have. This is because most of the posts featuring Stede’s canonical outfits contain ALL of the outfits in one post, and tagging for every color and garment would be redundant. Court suit: frak trimmed with flower pattern, knee breeches, shirt with pleated jabot and cuffs. White stockings. Hat under the arm, (decorative) sword on the left side, flat shoes with square buckles. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published by Pierre de la Mésangère, Paris, 1797-1839.

I am having a bit fun with Fluffvember. After all the drama in and around of Season 2, some Fluffart may be needed. Like Ed needing some reassurance for his costume choice, as he is about to shy away from his own "weird". He wanted to do something different for the Costume party, instead of the old Hardass Leather Daddy schtick from the last 20 years. But now is hit by his insecurities. And is very thankful for the reassurance and support by his weird little boyfriend.

I started with sort of a matador. But then I did a little 18th century sort of a dandy twist on it, where we had these tails that came out from the back. The second I put it on Rhys, he's like flicking them, and he's spinning around, and all of a sudden he's standing up with his chest out like a matador. And his whole persona changed the minute we put him in this little Spanish outfit. [x]
