okay so.. what if instead of pursuing a Fist position Ulder decided to continue his father's work as a blacksmith in Baldur's Gate and taught Wyll how to do it as well

i haven’t thought much about mizora in this AU, but i love imagining that wyll has his own goals and dreams. yes, he loves his dad, but he still reads heroic tales and wishes he could travel the world. he knows his heart belongs to the people. there are bigger, more ambitious, and grander dreams than blacksmithing

maybe in this AU, he still meets mizora when the tiamat cult tries to destroy the city. when he sees the only chance to become a hero, he takes it. who knows

also, i’m thinking about blacksmith!Wyll meeting tailor!Astarion because my wyllstarion brain just won’t turn off. what if in this AU Wyll is the one fixing Karlach's engine instead of Dammon hmmm. much to think about

i was looking through my wardrobe and found a cool shirt and thought “man, i think this is very licorice crk-esque” so that’s why he’s wearing it :)

probably super late to this considering the ship is currently outshined by so many other cool things in the cookie run fandom, but i have a soft spot for alternative fashion and “evil” characters with a soft spot!

@the-magpie-collective I just came up with an idea wherein if Wyll rejects Mizora's... offer of a new pact? offer to continue the old pact even though it's already broken? who cares about being clear on that, RIGHT Larian?! then she offers ULDER a deal on similar terms as Wyll's original; his soul and service for Baldur's Gate's salvation.

It'd be a nice parallel; unfortunately it also wouldn't work because, as you lay out so clearly, Mizora is unable to do shit about the Absolute. She can't even free herself from them.

Just. Ugh. So many cool things that COULD have been done with Wyll's story.

Ooh, I like this, especially when you consider that Ulder is isolated and desperate.

Mizora coming to him in the Iron Throne, offering to rescue him and free him from being a thrall of the Absolute. She'll even give him the power he needs to save Baldur's Gate, all it'll take is his soul, and really, if she doesn't help him, he'll be under the control of the Absolute for the rest of his short life, so what's the harm in saying yes?

He doesn't know his son his coming to save him. He doesn't know there's another way to be free of the Absolute's power. He doesn't know Mizora can't shield him from the Absolute, at least not fully.

And Wyll, instead of rescuing his father, finds him freshly pacted to Mizora. And he'll be forced to wonder: was this all my fault?
