Me, tears streaming down my face, sobbing, as I stare at the stars: it’s just so beautiful
The medieval peasant I went back in time to give a bag of Doritos to, concerned: what terrible and powerful sorcerers they must have in your age, to be able to veil the vault of heaven itself from view, as you say
Me, sniffling: I didn’t realize, I can’t, it’s so much, I, I… are the chips good, at least?
Medieval peasant, trying to make me feel better: they’re… magical, strange traveler
I'm never going to hell

As much as I love camp half blood it's really ghetto when compared to camp Jupiter cause like wdym the life expectancy of a Greek demigod is 15
nothing quite like the lifespan of a golden retriever to teach you to appreciate the little things
Percy Jackson is not a hero; he’s a consequence. 🌊
The scariest thing about Season 2 isn’t the monsters—it’s the realization that Percy’s "heroism" is entirely conditional. The Gods spend centuries making enemies and expect the demigods to clean up the mess. But Percy isn't playing their game. He isn't loyal to the throne, he isn't loyal to the "destiny," and he certainly isn't loyal to the prophecy.
He is loyal to Annabeth, Grover, and his Mom. If Olympus fell tomorrow, Percy Jackson would only be upset because his friends' favorite view got ruined. He isn't the savior of the world; he's the guy holding the world together because his people are still standing on it. And that makes him the biggest threat the Gods have ever faced. 🔱🔥

The Gods aren't afraid of Percy’s power; they’re afraid of his priorities. 🌊
In every other myth, the hero eventually chooses the Quest over the Person. They choose the Crown, the Glory, or the Greater Good.
Then comes Percy Jackson, who treats Personal Loyalty like a religion and the Prophecy like a nuisance. He is the first hero who would genuinely let the world end if the alternative meant leaving a friend behind.
He isn't a weapon for Olympus—he’s a weapon for the people he loves. And the Gods are finally realizing that if they ever become the ones standing in his way, he won't hesitate to drown the mountain. 🔱🔥

Oh dark Percy how you live in my mind rent free
There is something which makes me violently ill about the fact that Silena helped orchestrate the trap at the beginning of the last Olympian, which was 100% meant to kill Percy, and then, when Beckendorf died instead, it was Percy who tried to comfort her, who stood up for her at the councillors meeting, who defended her as a hero, even after finding out she was the spy and who thought about her like this throughout the last Olympian:
“Her mouth trembled. Ever since Beckendorf died she'd been getting worse, and every time I looked at her, it made me angry about his death all over again. Her expression reminded me of glass—like she might break any minute. I swore to myself that if I ever found the spy who'd cost her boyfriend his life, I would give him to Mrs. O'Leary as a chew toy. (The Last Olympian, Chapter 12)
Their relationship drives me insane when I think about it too much

It really is so disturbing to see a Percy Jackson without the inner monologue.
In the books, even if he was absolutely slaying, eating, serving BAMF in the middle of the fight, the book would be saying like "gosh I'm so awkward and clumsy haha who let me hold a sword lol I'm such a silly goose"
In the show we see him in pain and literally doing the most insane stuff with the most stoic facial expressions. Killing, stabbing, getting stabbed. He isn't some quirky funny kid on the outside, even if canonically on the inside he sees the world like a real kid. The show Percy seems different for these reasons but that's not OOC, that's just what Percy looks like to EVERYONE ELSE.
