To be honest, the thing I’m most insulted about is the fact that people are even using the names of Orphan Black and The 100 in the same sentence. I mean, come on. I’ve seen both (unfortunately, in the case of The 100) and comparing any aspect of them is just stupid. The 100 is one of the most terribly written shows I’ve ever watched and the plots make no sense, I’m not surprised they fucked up massively with Lexa dying (I didn’t watch that far, I haven’t bothered with any of Season 3) and I get why people are upset, but Orphan Black and Delphine in particular are a completely different set of circumstances. Apart from anything, the episode in which she was shot aired 11ish months ago and none of you kicked up this much fuss over her being bisexual and shot at that point. Just stooooooop please :’(

I don’t expect this to go viral or to get millions of likes because, I don’t want it, liking won’t help. Please, embrace it and take action. Re blog so others can see it and talk about these world spread issues.

You know what’s funny is that I’ve been hearing so much about Ghost being a provocative video when I put out the same fucking video with me and the lead was a male, and if anything, it has more sexual content; there was fucking nail scratching down backs and like, orgasm faces and being thrown up on a desk by my thighs and everyone was like “Oh, what a great love story! This is 90’s love.” Then I put out a video where I’m making out with a girl and all of a sudden everyone is like “THIS IS PORNOGRAPHIC!” and it blows my mind that is can be considered more provocative or near pornographic because of that which is lowkey why I made the fucking video.
Mathematical Spirals
A spiral is a curve which emanates from a central point, getting progressively farther away as it revolves around the point (similar to helices [plural for helix!] which are three-dimensional). Pictured above are some of the most important spirals of mathematics.
Logarithmic Spiral: Equation: r=ae^bθ. Logarithmic spirals are self-similar, basically meaning that the spiral maintains the same shape even as it grows. There are many examples of approximate logarithmic spirals in nature: the spiral arms of galaxies, the shape of nautilus shells, the approach of an insect to a light source, and more. Additionally, the awesome Mandelbrot set features some logarithmic spirals.
Fermat’s Spiral: Equation: r= ±θ^(½). This is a type of Archimedean spiral and is also known as the parabolic spiral. Fermat’s spiral plays a role in disk phyllotaxis (the arrangement of leaves in a plant system).
Archimedean Spiral: Equation: r=a+bθ. The Archimedean spiral has the property that the distance between each successive turning of the spiral remains constant. This kind of spiral can have two arms (like in the Fermat’s spiral image), but pictured above is the one-armed version.
Hyperbolic Spiral: Equation: r=a/θ. It is also know as the reciprocal spiral and is the opposite of an Archimedian spiral. It begins at an infinite distance from the pole in the center (for θ starting from zero r = a/θ starts from infinity), and it winds faster and faster around as it approaches the pole; the distance from any point to the pole, following the curve, is infinite.

Guys, I know, I KNOW. This sucks. And we have to wait NINE MONTHS to really understand why this happened and what is really going on. And it’s okay to be pissed and sad and angry and all of those things. Whatever you are feeling right now, it’s okay. This is a fresh wound and it’s going to hurt for a while, don’t let anyone tell you differently or make you feel bad about mourning a fictional character. But please, Have a little faith in the writers, you guys. Okay? Please don’t spend the first half of this hiatus shitting on them, being pissed at them, and claiming you will never watch the show again.
Remember this time last year? Remember when everyone was FREAKING THE FUCK OUT about Castor. About “male” clones (*cough* tony is a male clone too *cough*) . People were pissed, they said Castor would ruin the show and pull the story away from Leda. That this was just another show that wanted to bring more men into it because “misogyny” and “typical male writers” and all that bullshit. And look what happened. Castor ENHANCED Leda and the overall story of the show. They didn’t pull focus, and hardly introduced any new IMPORTANT male ACTORS, and by the end of the season, it looks like only 2 of the Castor clones we know are still alive.
Also, keep in mind a couple of things. Evelyne is on another show where she is a main character. Actors have to make choices for their career and they can’t do EVERYTHING! That being said, if Delphine ISN’T dead (which is what I personally suspect) this may have been done to reduce her story so she COULD still be involved on the show. Regardless of whether she is alive or dead this is not a decision they took lightly. Her story this season was complex and diverse and revealing and basically everything an actor could want. Complexity is the greatest gift the writers of this show give to their characters and we have been lucky to have Delphine for the length of time that we have. Her character development has been beautiful and Evelyne is unbelievably talented and has given so much to this show and this story. Sooo IF she is gone, we need to think about the good, okay?
Personally, I am choosing to be optimistic. It is a lot easier than giving myself an ulcer worrying and fretting and freaking out for nine months. You may say I am just deep in the ballpit but I am honestly trying to think logically about this.
Also, do yourselves a favor and look at some of the post season one interviews. “I hated killing Helena.” “I am going to miss Helena, a lot.” “R.I.P Helena.” Or go and watch the interview where Tat acted surprised and excited about the idea of a trans clone and blatantly said that would probably be too hard but she would love it. SHE WAS ALREADY WORKING ON TONY! She lied. Everyone lied. THEY LIE BECAUSE IT KEEPS IT INTERESTING!
This is what good television is. This is what good writers do. They make you love and care about their characters and they leave you worried and wondering about their fate. This is what this show is about. If EVERYONE was happy at the end of the season, if no one’s life was threatened, in serious danger, or potentially lost, then we would have no reason to come back in nine months to see what happened to these characters that have become such an important part of our lives.
Just, please, BREATHE, Clone Club, BREATHE! Let yourself feel what you are feeling right now. Lean on each other in this tough time. But TRY to think of the bigger picture. Try to think positive. And, if you can, try to be blindly optimistic, it’s kind of working for me right meow… I’ve said it before and I will say it again:
They ain’t dead until they are buried, burned up, or blown to bits.

@OB negativity and why I am done with it
I think that the ob negativity tag from last year should be implemented again. I am writing this rant because I can’t tell you how many messages I got since last night, people saying that they dislike the fandom and what it has become.
I used to feel stressed over this, tried to write posts, reason with people, but there will always be those who can’t see past their fury of Cophine being broken up (though we know that they are still a possibility, according to Graeme and John). And not only that, they have the audacity to insult Ksenia’s acting, just because she is in the way of the ship, then wonder why OBtumblr is all over her. No wonder it is, when their own fandom can’t tell her a proper welcome and attacks her instead (not talking generally here, I know how many peeps went out of their way to send her positive vibes on twitter and honestly you are the best). God forbid orphanblack posts couple of photosets of Cosima smiling and they are immediately “forcing the ship on us” and “hating on Cophine”. This is the same OBtumblr who went out of their way to have multiple askOBs with Evelyne against their schedules and ask her our dumb puppy questions and what not. I can’t believe that there are people who have the audacity to say a bloody word against the best fandom social media out there. It was because of them we have such a good communication with the OB staff and yet you choose to talk shit? I am in genuine disbelief.
So what I am asking of this group of people is to please avoid me in large circles, unfollow me, burn my url on a stake or whatever, but if you do decide to venture into the tag or post it on your blog please tag your things with #ob negativity so other people, including myself, can blacklist them and enjoy the show again with the rest of the fandom who watches OB and just wants to enjoy Tatiana Maslany and other actors being excellent. Thank you.

As you know we got a glimpse of Ksenia Solo’s character - Shay at the end of last episode. Shay has been introduced as a new friend to Cosima at first, but it seems like she will be more than just a friend. Which is the main reason why Ksenia Solo has been getting a lot of hate messages lately. She has already mentioned about this on one of her interviews, but now that we’ll actually get to see Shay interacting with Cosima, people actively started sending her very rude and upsetting things. Clone Club has always been a very accepting and friendly fandom for the people who wanted to join, and showed their love and gratitude to the actors of our show. So what is this hate towards Ksenia now for? As DailyOrphanBlack, we would like to offer to start a movement within Clone Club and encourage people to send warm welcoming messages to Ksenia on her twitter. Let’s not forget that the actors are not their characters, and they are not responsible for the things that are happening on the show. Ksenia Solo is an amazing actress & person, she is a good friend of Tatiana Maslany, and an OB fan herself. Let’s show our love to her, and welcome her to Clone Club.
