Peacemaker Kurogane Movie

I love PMK. It was one of the first anime I watched and it holds a special place in my heart.

I just finished watching the movies...and I’m torn.

Itou’s appearance, Heisuke’s death and Saito “betrayal” needed to be fleshed out.

AND... wtf happened to Yamanami?!? His death had me shook. No mention of him at all in the movie.

Hijikata freaking out about Souji was one of my favorite parts in the manga, we saw it...but ehhh. The manga had me bawling, I wanted to feel that from the movie.

Although...Susumu’s death was still sad.

Honestly I don’t remember a lot about what happens between Tetsu and Saya... but I was never a fan of how much their relationship took up screen/page time. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The fast forward version of what happened right after the show and before the movie didn’t really appeal to me.

I know the characters because I read the manga and watched the show...but I just feel like it would have been suited as another tv series than movie.

I think the movie was over all beautifully made...but you really had to have read the manga before watching it.

I’m hoping for a TV series...🤞🏻 I feel like this story would benefit more from several episodes that two movies. The ending left room for more. So here’s to waiting another couple of years!
