@funsized-loser asked: favorite scene from CA:TWS? - Steve and Natasha find out Sam is a badass!
I also really liked this moment for what it said of Steve. Nat here is focusing on the professional side. She is seeing it as what Sam called it: a resume, and she’s recalling incidents that prove his competency and working out what he would bring to their team.
Steve, meanwhile, is completely focused on the personal aspect. He looks at the guy in the picture and recalls the brief discussion he had with Sam a couple of days ago, and he asks the name to confirm this was the partner Sam had lost. Notably, Sam’s expression quietens when he answers Steve.
In the scene that follows this gif set, Steve says, “I can’t ask you to do this, Sam, you got out for a good reason.” And that reason was right there in the photo Sam had handed to them. Steve understood what Sam was feeling — he understood the grief that hits so hard from watching a partner die in front of you that it makes you want to wrap up your life and go elsewhere. Even though he and Nat had no one else to count on, despite how much help Sam had already been and how competent he is, the first thing Steve thinks of is Sam’s mental health.
It was just a nice, small moment that’s easily missed of Steve quickly learning about others, empathising, and treating them as a whole person.

chris evans married to an amazing wife, who has a son mikey from a previous unhappy marriage. on his 44th birthday, mikey gives him a present which is adoption papers so chris could adopt him
Hi! Thanks for sending this! Hopefully, you like it.
Summary - Chris is married to a fantastic woman and getting the best present he's ever received.
Warning - fluff
“Happy Birthday, Sweetheart”, I whisper to my husband while giving him a soft kiss on his lips. He wakes and gives me a sleepy smile. Lifting his hand, he strokes my cheek and kisses me. “Thanks, baby.”
“Come on, breakfast is ready, and Mikey is downstairs. He got you a present, bub.” Chris’s eyes lighten up, “really?” smiling at him, I nod.
“Also, Dodger is waiting to wish his dad a happy birthday as well, so get a move on.” I swat his butt before heading out of the room and downstairs. A figure flies at me and latches onto my legs. “Mumma!” I chuckle and pick Mikey up. “Hey, bubs, you okay?”
He shakes his head, burying it against my leg. I run my fingers through his hair, “what’s wrong, bubs?” he mumbles, “hmm? I didn’t hear you, baby. Is this about the present?” Little Mikey nods. He looks up at me with tears in his eyes, my heart breaking.
“D-do you think.. He’ll like it….?” Quickly bending down, I pick him up. “Of course, baby. He’ll be thrilled, but you gotta give it to him first, okay?” He nods. We head into the kitchen and wait for Chris. Chris enters the room, and his and Mikey’s faces light up.
“Hey, Lil buddy!” He comes over, picking him up and covering his face in kisses. “H-happy birthday!!” Mikey screams in Chris’s ear, full of excitement. “Aww, thanks, bub.” Dodger comes over, and Chris gives him cuddles too. He looks up and smiles at me.
“Now, I was told there was gonna be breakfast and presents?” He cheekily smirks at me, shock covers his face, and he’s dragged over to his chair, Mikey pushes him down and climbs onto his lap. He then grabs a small wrapped envelope-shaped object, shoving it into Chris’s hands while staring at him intensely.
Chris looks over at me with wide eyes, and I just smile softly and nod to him. He looks back at Mikey, “is this for me?!” putting a hand to his chest while holding onto the gift with his other hand, Mikey nods and continues to push the gift that Chris is holding more into his hand. Nerves are taking over.
Chris wraps an arm around the child before carefully opening the present, noticing that it’s an envelope. He looks at me, confused. I continue to smile, tears in my eyes. Shaking my head and mouthed, ‘it’s okay’. He returns to the envelope and slowly starts to open it once the paper from inside is entirely out. He starts reading, and tears fill his eyes.
ADOPTION PAPERS
He looks between Mikey and his wife, tears spilling from his eyes. His heart is full of love. “Please tell me this is real and not some kind of joke, please.” He begs, his voice cracking. I quickly rush to him, and both Mikey and I hug him. I stroke his hair and whisper ‘that it’s real’ and ‘that we love him’ I continue to reassure him, and he looks at Mikey.
“You want me to be your daddy? Me?” Mikey nods, planting a big wet kiss on his cheek. Through Chris’s blurry vision, he sees a note attached to the letter. Reaching over, Chris reads it. He chokes up, and more tears roll down his face. “Oh god, does anyone have a pen?” I quickly reach over and hand him a pen. He signs and then looks towards his now son.
“Oh my god, I love you and your mother so much, buddy. Thank you for this, and thank you for giving me this opportunity. Oh god, I love you,” He cries, burying his face into his son’s hair, squeezing him tight.
Tears roll down my face, finally seeing my son get the father he deserves. Happy that Chris came into my life and saved us from Mikey’s father. I smile, glad to see them so happy. The following words that come out of my son’s mouth bring joy and happiness.
“Daddy! Can we eat now?”
Thank you for reading! Please feel free to send in any asks or requests you have.
Please note feedback and reblogs are greatly appreciated.
Your writing will always feel awkward to you, because you wrote it.
Your plot twists will always feel predictable, because you created them.
Your stories will always feel a bit boring to you, because you read them a million times.
They won't feel like that for your reader.
I've never seen this before- this is awesome!!
STEVE ROGERS in CA:TFA
Steve, your sub is showing
I was willing to let Steve’s ending slide, and say that I’m glad he’s finally stopped fighitng and he’s going after what he wants, which is a peace of mind.
BUT.
I just realized that Steve going back in time, creating a different timeline, he’s not really gaining peace?? Given Steve’s character and mindset, he won’t let the same shit happen against as they did before. He wouldn’t let Bucky still be experimented on by HYDRA, which means he wouldn’t had to hunt them down and save Bucky. He wouldn’t let HYDRA work with SHIELD, so he has to do something about that. And not to mention the serious bullshit that went on during the 40’s and so on. Steve won’t just sit there and let these terrible things happen, whether we he wants to settle down and have peace or not, it’s just not his core character, and I refuse to believe otherwise.
So given what’s said, I agree that his ending didn’t make sense.
would you trust me to do it? — SteveNat
Filming Pain Hustlers in Miami
Whenever someone gets sick on the team, Steve is front and center. He has every single type of medicine you could think, old and new. He has countless of home remedies and they work GREAT. You can't tell me Steve doesn't know how to take care of every kind of common flu or cold, asthma attack, allergic reaction, etc, cause he used to have all of the above.
There has been something annoying me about the MCU for a while, but I never knew what exactly what it was. Now, I’m a big fan of the MCU, and honestly, their strengths outweighs their flaws—and they DO have flaws. But I think what’s been bugging me is how they dealt with Black Widow aka Natasha Romanoff.
People tend to forget how skilled Natasha really is. She was trained since she practically a toddler to become a trained killer. She learned everything from manipulation to how to kill you in 99 ways with just using her hands. And instead of utlizing that type of strength in the MCU, she was mostly tossed aside for either becoming a meaningless love interest (*cough cough* brutasha *cough*) or being sexualized. And you know WHY this happened.
It’s because she didn’t get her own damn movie till after she fucking died.
If there was a black widow movie either in Phase 1 or early Phase 2, things would have been different because her strength would’ve been established and along with her core character. Like it bothers me to my core that people always joke about how Nat should’ve been already dead because she’s only fighting with a gun and she’s falling from buildings without a scratch. Yk, MAYBE if she had a movie explaining that she was injected with a different version of the super soldier serum than nobody would’ve had to joke or question about that. MAYBE if the MCU had more than one braincell when it came to Natasha Romanoff, then her movie—that should’ve been a sequel—WOULD’VE BEEN BETTER.
I’m sorry, this isn’t an educated essay, this is a rant from someone who hasn’t ate a decent meal in the last 42 hours, so take what I say with a grain of salt, or run with it, I don’t care. But I do know one thing that they did my girl Nat wrong, and her character had SO MUCH potential.
LIKE THE RED ROOM???? THAT WHOLE AESTHETIC AND CONCEPT?? THAT’S GOLD. THEY WERE SITTING ON GOLD.
someday i will post this fic and then its all over for you fools. i mean not now. or any time soon. but someday it will happen

The price of freedom is high, it always has been. And it’s a price I’m willing to pay. And if I’m the only one, then so be it.
Ya'll think Steve buys too small shirts because he used to be smaller, or because he refuses to not show off his tits
You’re out of your depth, kid.
