10 twilight thoughts that still make sense and i will die on this hill:

1. bella was a blank slate on purpose. that's literally the point. she was never meant to be a "strong female character." she was meant to be you.

2. the setting carried so hard. forks, washington. the rain. the grey. the woods. that alone deserved an award.

3. charlie was the best person in that entire story and it's not close. left her alone, showed up when it mattered, never made it weird. father of the year every year.

4. the baseball scene. that's it. that's the point. you know what you felt when you first watched it.

5. people who say edward was just an abusive boyfriend forget that bella ends the series as the most powerful one in the room. the whole thing was a slow burn of her figuring that out.

6. the volturi are so cool and we just. never talk about it. ancient vampire royalty enforcing secret laws from a palace in italy. hello??

7. jacob was a teenager in love who handled rejection badly. not a villain. just a mess. we've all known that person.

8. sparkling is weird yes but stephenie meyer built an entire consistent world from scratch. that's actually hard to do.

9. "the lion fell in love with the lamb" gets laughed at but you thought it was beautiful when you were fifteen and that version of you wasn't wrong.

10. twilight let girls be dramatic and obsessed and completely feral about a boy and never once told them to calm down. that was kind of radical actually.
