It always struck me as odd that SM spent so much time creating eternally young, gloriously beautiful vampires but then made a point to say that Joss (and I believe James as well in the OG saga) was plain-looking. Well, sis, I reject that! NEW FACE CLAIM: Samara Weaving as Joss (especially the horror energy she brought in the Babysitter films). Definitely channeling Baddie Joss as she gets ready to go a-hellin’ (as we say where I come from in West Texas) in my fic. Such a fascinating character.

What’s crazy is that 50 shades makes no sense as a twilight fanfic because Edward would not do any of that. But if you told me it was actually about BELLA being a dominatrix CEO who gets weird awkward virgin Edward to sign a sex contract and be her submissive… yeah I could see that.

Replace Bella and Edward with Edythe and Beau, respectively, and this resonates with both of our AUs, @stivesketch lmaoooo. Also, I would read *the fuck* out of such a Twilight AU. Surely someone’s written something like this, but I wouldn’t know where to begin. The larger Twilight fandom is scary and gigantic so I don’t know the lay of the land well/what’s going on in there. I stick to the Life and Death niche lmfao

I don't have any dom Bella & sub Edward recs to give since I also barely venture out into the wider fandom, but I gotta say; Bella wearing the pants in the OG relationship proves that Beau being human has nothing to do with him being submissive.

He just likes it that way, and so do I.

Also, props to Meyer for writing the girls domming the boys in both cases; gender-swap notwithstanding.

You gotta have death stalking you for your art to mean something, death breathing down your neck, forcing you to create, to transfigure your pain into something durable. If you're already immortal, the urgency disappears, and you get empty, shallow art.
