But why Did it Have to be Me?

Ren wonders why you like him and then wonders why he likes you

To be honest, Ren thought you were a bit.... weird. He’s not trying to be rude or anything, thats just how he feels, but what really convinced him you weren’t normal was when he found out that you like him. He heard this whenever he was working at the diner and heard two students talking.

"-Do you think she might like me?"

"Hate to break it to you dude but Im pretty sure she likes Ren"

"SHHH she’s walking through the door right now!"

Low and behold guess who was walking through the door. You.

It honestly felt like a joke I mean out of everyone in the world you like him? Well atleast you dont know he knows...hopefully

Another boring shift at the diner, well its better than being in Jabberwock. Atleast he can do his dailies without Haru yelling at him every two seconds. He hears the door open and he turns his head. Oh god it`s you

"Hey Ren! I didnt know you were working today!"

Gosh it feels so weird to see you now, I mean now he knows you like him. Oh god what if your only here because of him, god thats corny

"Oh yeah I just wanted to get out of Jabberwock so I picked up an extra shift." Usually when your here with those Frostheim dudes so it felt really awkward . "So..uh..wheres your Frostheim friends?"

"Oh Luca and Kaito? They have class right now"

"Oh..so are you meeting with Ritsu then?"

"No Im not"

Oh no you actually are here because of him. You sat in a stool infront of him and talked to him his entire shift. Its natural to like someone but seriously why did it have to be him?

Your persistent efforts did not stop there. Not at all.

A few days later, while Ren is "working" in Jabberwock, he hears Haru call for him

"I swear to god if its more work....."

"What do you want" He yells

"Guess whos here for you!"

Fuck. Working seems like the better option now. Well its to late now he sees you walk towards him.

"Hi Ren!"

"...Hey uh what are you doing here?" Seriously what are you doing here.

"Oh well professor Hyde wanted to me to give Haru some paperwork and I thought Id just come and say hi to you too!"

Turns out you did not just say hi you actually said alot more words than hi, infact you talked for HOURS. Do you have nothing better to do?

This behaviour went on for WEEKS. Every time you saw him you would stop him and talk with him and then you would follow him around like a lost puppy "Hey Ren do you wanna go out this week?" or "Oh Ren did you see that new movie thats coming out? We should watch it together!" Oh my god can you not take a hint? He doesnt like you!

Unfortunately you actually did the hint but at the worst time. Eventually Ren did realised he kinda liked you? But he still wasnt a hundred percent sure. He tried to be somewhat less mean to you and listen to what you were saying sometimes and he did kinda like hanging out with you and wouldnt mind being with you all the ti-fuck he was head over heel. It happened so quickly what could he have done? God why did have to be him.

So know that Ren acknowledges his feelings he attempts to try and flirt with you, keyword attempts he still feels really awkward and hasnt done much.

“Oh um hey…” He says this while your sitting infront of him at the diner

“Do you wanna like go out sometime?”

He saw your eyes lit up and he could feel himself getting red

“Of course I would!”

It actually went well. It was going well for weeks! But Ren noticed you kinda pulled away sometimes

It’s natural to stop liking people. Everyone knows that but why did you stop liking him whenever he started liking you? Maybe he was too rude too you, maybe he should’ve acknowledged his feelings earlier. Maybe you thought he was taking pity on you and thats why he asked you out, whatever it doesn’t matter anymore. You barely talk to him anymore, you moved on. It’s only natural but why did it have to be him?

One night I was bored in and bed and stalked you on the internet

Leo Kurosagi gets jealous

Leo Kurosagi never chased anyone, I mean why would he? I mean he has so many followers who would die to talk to him or even just get a glance from him so obviously he was surprised when you did the opposite of that. Everyday you would ignore him, curse at him and sometimes you would just walk away from him. Well he doesn`t care, why would he? Your just some random honour student that waltzed into his life one day and now you wont get out. Yeah he doesn`t care, totally.....

"Hey honour roll!" Leo yells, he wasn`t sure if you were gonna flip him off or just ignore him, actually your carrying heavy boxes right now so him getting flipped off is off the table right now

"What do you want now?" You say begrudgingly, it was obvious that you weren`t in a good mood, oh well its not like he`s gonna change his plans for you!

"Let`s go out. There`s a new restaurant "

"No I`m busy I have to take these boxes to Sho`s"

"Ok th-what" Seriously, again? Why do you have to spend all your time with him?

"Anyways I have to go now bye"

well atleast he got a bye this time...

Leo was in his bed, pissed because he wanted to go to that restaurant with you, well he just wanted to that restaurant not because you were there or anything

"Cant believe she would rather be with Sho than with me" he muttered under his breath. Ugh whatever he can just scroll until he gets bored and until you get off his mind unfortuanately for him this would not help. I mean what are the chances the first thing he see`s is your account

"you`ve got to be kidding me..."

Now normally ever time he saw your account he would just scrolled by (which was actually not what he normally does) but today was different. Why? Because you posted a picture of you and Sho. Leo was absolutely furious. Like cmon first, you dont hang out with him and now youre posting about it. God its like the world is against him. Regardless he continues scrolling through your profile

He sees pictures of you and Sho, food that he made you and more stupid stuff. Seriously all you do is post stuff about Sho. Leo was getting really angry at this point. He isnt supposed to care this much and yet he does. Its not just Sho that youve posted pictures with its practically every single ghoul but him. Even ghouls you told him you didnt like at times. Like cmon hes been only posting you for weeks!

God, why does he care. Its not like you do anyways...

The next day Leo sees you again sitting down on a bench, no heavy boxes for Sho, no other ghouls and no distractions. Leo doesnt even process that he was walking over to you until the very last step

"Hey honour roll, how was your date with Sho?" Are you stupid why would you even bring that up?, he thinks to himself

"Date? With Sho? What are you on talking about Leo?”

“Ugh whatever..”

“Are you jealous Leo..?”

Shit. Now that you’ve said it out loud he’s now realised. Leo Kurosagi was extremely jealous, but obviously he can’t show that he is.

“Oh and that restaurant you wanted to go to is open later at 8 today”

Whatever he thinks you’re probably gonna ditch him for another ghoul anywaysa

“I can go with you today if you want”

Its so obvious your doing this out of pity. Its really sad. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere you stand up.

"What are y-"

You kiss him on the cheek. Leo just stands there for a few seconds processing what the fuck just happened. Do you actually like him? Seriously this has to be joke

"Wow I didnt realised you were that desperate"

You scoff "Says the one"

Your right though but he`ll never admit that

"So its a date I guess" You then smile and wave him goodbye while walking away.

Leo puts his hand on his face where you kissed him and hes suprised he hasn`t dropped dead

You’ve got to be joking. “You’re breaking up with me?” Seriously you must be stupid. Sure, he wasn’t the best boyfriend but you can’t do this anymore? God your pathetic

“Ok do whatever you want. If you don’t want me anymore then fine. Hope you don’t find anyone else”

He wholeheartedly meant that last sentence. He really hopes you don’t find anyone else who isn’t him
