If someone would have told me 4 months ago that I would be bringing a scale to work to weigh lettuce I would have told them they were insane. #flashbackfriday to August of 2012 for the Powerstation Pro/Am. I'll never forget this meet, it was the first time I traveled to another state to compete, let alone across the country to Ohio. Hit a 550 squat for a PR, got to see @djwade52 squat 1000lbs an remember seeing his family freaking out with custom shirts on lol, and overall had a really good time with my team. I'll never forget is seeing @brandonlilly3 for the first time. As soon as he walked in the room I just thought who the hell is this monster? I'm by no means a small guy (competed at 308 at the time), but next to him I looked like a kid. Ever since then he has definitely been an inspiration to me. His story and his attitude on everything, especially recovery, is extremely motivating.
