A message to baby Studyblr’s

You don’t need amazing grades to be a studyblr- when i started most of my teachers didn’t think i was even going to turn up to the exams

You don’t need a pretty backdrop to be a studyblr- i don’t have a fancy desk because i know i will never use it

You don’t need a macbook/mildliners/moleskin to be a studyblr- if it’s out of your price range thats okay get cute stuff from the stationery section in the supermarket, just because the majority of studyblrs have them doesn’t mean you should

If you are scared to post your own pictures- be brave, no one is gonna make fun of you 

The only thing you need to be a studyblr is to study and have fun doing it 😊✨

Study tip

Don’t be afraid to make your notes be funny. If writing stuff like “Priests weren’t supposed to have side hoes because God was their main hoe” helps you remember that Priests were banned from having concubines, then go ahead and write that shit. Live your life.

How to Develop Willpower

1. Make a list of those situations where you find it really hard to have willpower.

2. Brainstorm for ways that you can start to feel more positive about demonstrating will power. For example, plan to reward yourself every time you do something you really didn’t want to do.

3. Break bigger, more challenging, tasks down into much smaller, and more achievable, tasks. Acknowledge each step in the right direction. Recognise that you’re making progress.

. Decide to challenge any tendency towards procrastination. Decide that you can change if you take it slowly. Set daily, realistic goals for yourself. Decide to follow through with them – no matter what! If it helps, have someone you can be accountable to at the end of each day (or week).

5. Push yourself to keep taking the small steps. In time, making an effort will become a habit. Hang in there until it does.

6. Focus on the long term benefits of achieving your goal. Imagine what it will be like – how your life will be, and how you will feel when you reach your goal. Try to visualise it in detail.

The next week is going to be almost as stressful as exam week with two tests and two essays due, but I'm hoping to get one essay finished tonight and the other drafted tomorrow, which will take some of the pressure off. Bring it on week 5! 👊🏻🤓📝

Abbreviations.

So… we all know that note taking is a lot quicker if we use abbreviations. Here I have a quick table of all the abbreviations I use in my notes. I feel like if I use any that are more random than the ones in this table, i forget what they mean when revising my notes later. Anyway, here is an easy table of abbreviations all in the same place.
