i found an amazing way for me to get by during orgo class, and that’s by taking book notes before class, then taking notes from the ppt before she presents it, and then annotating the notes that i have with what she says. it’s been really helping me out ! i don’t know if it’s clear, but i’ve taped the ppt notes together like a booklet, and it’s honestly so cute !

meanwhile, i’ve been having some really crazy and fun times with my friends, including me playing tetris with my nintendo controller during a childhood birth video, running all over campus to turn in two labs, and talking about music and linguistics with c !

i was previously in the studyblr community as @/phantomstudies but the url has been taken in my absence… sigh. so im remaking under this username! my school year starts in a couple days, and i thought i might as well take a crack at the whole studyblr thing again. so on to the intro :)!

im evan, as i said before. im a sophomore (10th grade, for reference), and id like to get back on track with school this year! ive struggled a lot in the past, and while i dont think a studyblr will fix all my problems, i do hope it’ll at least be nice to have the support and resources this wonderful community provides.

can we end this studyblr ideal that you should be eating fruit for every snack and revising on the bus and studying whilst you walk and learning whilst you eat lunch and staying home at weekends and using every single minute of the day to be productive ??? like ??? no !! eat that chocolate that you’ve been keeping in your kitchen !! listen to your favourite song whilst on the bus !! play games on your phone at lunch time !! meet your friends and have a hella fun adventure !! its obviously okay and good to have a balance between your chill time and your study time but please for the love of god do not let studying take over your life. studying is great and its awesome and you should definitely work hard but you need to remember that your life needs to be lived

Writing an essay on a still undecided topic centring around 19th century Ottoman Empire is a fun challenge because I know next to nothing about that area of history and I need to do a lot more reading than I would if I was reading about European history, because I have been learning about that my whole life whereas this is a completely new territory.

08.02.19 || just managed to get my favourite seat at my go to library this morning. Towards the end of the semester you have to get there before 10am to find a space but I actually don’t mind that cause it pushes me to get up earlier.
