i used to be scared of dogs. i also have beef with how cats are treated in mainstream media when compared to dogs. i was scared of dogs because i saw one rip apart a cat when i was like four ( one of few memories i have from that age. ) i always wondered why people idolized dogs so much as a society while demonizing cats. my theory is that people prefer something they can control as opposed to a being with boundaries who won't blindly follow you, i find that sickening.
