I've been on a road trip the past week, which meant I read two entire books in the car.
I read The Grimrose Girls and The Wicked Remain. Honestly, I really enjoyed them. Sometimes it was dumb and cliche, but it's not wrong to enjoy that kind of stuff. I liked all the queer rep, and I adored Rory as a fellow masc lesbian. I'd actually recommend this duology, especially if you like mystery and fairy tales.
I fear I would be in love with Brett. I'd be just as bad as every single man in The Sun Also Rises. Although I do feel as though most of it is Brett's fault. She leads them on because she masks her misery with attention.

Being a masc lesbian in high school just consists of a lot of "straight" girls liking you because you look like a guy.

why do guys in theater get everything. I work so hard to be committed to the theater, hours upon hours, start to get roles, and then out of nowhere a guy who said he thinks he's above youth theater sweeps in and gets the lead.
you'd think as a girl that normally plays male roles it'd be easier than the constant battle for the female lead. You'd be wrong. Everything can be taken from you in an instant when a mediocre tenor appears out of nowhere.
I'd rather be her friend than nothing at all
in that weird state of tech week sleep deprivation, incoming post show depression, and excitement for a new show starting

I read If Tomorrow Doesn't Come by Jen St. Jude about a week ago and suddenly had a dream I was in the exact same situation. Asteroid hitting the earth in 9 days. Man that was crazy. Definitely reccomend this book for all of those who love good doomsday stories as well as wlw stories. Happy Pride Month!
