THE FALL (2006) dir. Tarsem Singh
There's nothing left for him. His daughter. He wasn't her father, either. She loves him. She'll survive. She's young. I don't want you to die. Don't kill him. Let him live. Let him live. Don't kill him.

why is this post completely broken in every way imaginable
Broken notes… deactivated account… removed image….
Finally, we have them all.
In addition: OP’s name is just… gone. No “[insert username]-deactivated[insert a bunch of numbers]” as is the standard for deactivated blogs.
Just the world “deactivated.” Look upon their post, ye mighty, and despair.
It’ll be almost impossible to find this post unless it wanders across your dash.
It wandered across mine. I shall help it travel forward.
this is not a place of honor
Oh hey post of Ozymandius, good to see you again standing on your feet in a desert where no one remembers you
if Humpty Dumpty ever stopped being in danger then he would lose his identity & go insane

How to not make a "disco-like"
Just copy the dialogue system and game play
Only take inspiration from DE and one other thing
Try to make similar jokes
Put "politics" in it (=have a dialogue option like "yes I am a massive communist/I don't have an opinion/I am a nationalist"
Make the protagonist quirky and take drugs
Congrats on making the most derivative thing ever
How to make a disco-like:
Read a lot of different things. Random Wikipedia pages. Niche eastern European literature from the 50s. Niche philosophy
Make the world building make sense
Come up with a premise that's different from DE
And with a different tone
Invent new tropes
Write good
In conclusion have only as much connection to DE as DE had to Planescape Torment and Fallout
you have this superpower! BUT you have this side-effect
is it worth it?
yes!!
the side effect is bad but ITS WORTH IT
meh it's okay
the side effect makes it unusable/not worth it
Results/option I didn't think of
so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god
okay so i just got my dream job??? a week after applying to it?? and now i’m thinking….maybe this is the good luck post
…..not even six hours later i got an offer of a well paying full time long-term job with free room and board in queens in nyc, allowing me independence and a way to escape an abusive situation and an unhealthy environment
likes charge reblogs cast, folks, this is the good luck post
i need all the help i can get for finals
Hey so
the last time I reblogged this post right before I got a great job, in a permanent work-from-home position, with benefits, retirement, and a salary literally 3x what I was making before, doing something I really like.
So you know.
This might be the real one, y’all.
I could use some luck
art block? dude this is called a "canvas". you need to spend less time on minecraft
it's not a 100% infection rate. but there is a disease you get if you spend too long liking disco elysium where eventually you find harry attractive
but look at my beautiful wife....... her charming and enigmatic grin...... her windswept hair..... how well she wears a coat
"i think this sloppy bisexual bear would give the greatest head of all time. he is also deeply pathetic"
smash or pass: harry du bois (disco elysium)
smash
pass
I feel like Harry fixated on the idea of having daughters because masculinity is so painful for him. For him being a man is a never ending parade of self degradation and conformity under pain of humiliation.
also like, generally reminds me of that thing some very traumatized men do where they just can’t stand the idea of having a son that turns out like them so hard that their ideal child is a girl who will be incapable of being like them.
shamelessly stealing this idea but
spin the wheel and get a Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul character.
would you fuck, marry, or kill this character
FUCK
MARRY
KILL
ok ok i finally got around to THE APPRENTICE vanity fair piece and i'm actually abuzz with excitement! the movie sounds so promising. some of my fave bits:
i hope the article is not overselling it, but the decision to fully abandon the traditional biopic staples and go full genre is imo THE best way to do a movie like this. i'm curious about how they're gonna deal with the theme at the heart of it all — the creation of false narratives within the context of an empire. given the poster from before, they absolutely ARE willing to go for the jugular, but will they pull it off? i guess we'll see! the idea of the actors being free to improvise and actually having a playground is also intriguing in this particular context (especially with how both sebastian and jeremy seem to have taken their research seriously). i'm SEATED alright.
also, i'm so grateful for jeremy. like, man. roy cohn was a person. this stubborn insistence on empathizing even with the vilest people is crucial for playing a part like that; the moment an actor fails to recognize the humanity of their subject is the moment they fail as an artist. in one of his recent interviews, jeremy says:
“My job is to be a humanistic investigator of a subject and to withold judgement.”
i think that's like 70% of the reason why i like him so much
