Dionysusâ eyes slowly sparked as Aphrodite spoke, until finally they were all up in flames with hunger. Always feeling hungry but never starved, until he saw someone being vulnerable. It wasnât just vulnerability that Dionysus adored, but the act of falling into it. The moment of the shift, the drop of the veil- That was the home Dionysus lived in, that was the instance where he found and gave worship. His voice was all growl now, âI like it when you get like thisâŠâ
He grabbed her hand from his chest, a little too hard. He pushed back, finding a wall to press her against. This is what they did. This is what he was- a tide. âHonest, honest, honestâŠâ The vulnerability had made him a more feverish version of himself. He looked her in the eyes with that fever, voice still animal. âAnd sooooo rightâŠabout everything. About what they are and what you areâŠâ
Aphroditeâs breath left her as Dionysus pushed her against the wall. His heightened reaction thrilled the goddess, who felt most powerful, most radiant, in times like these.Â
Her eyes held the god curiously, watching him fold over her. Her fingertips delicately tracing his jawline. âHush-â She cooed, her smile serpentine. Aphrodite half expected something odd to happen- as things did when Dionysus was provoked but, perhaps that was the old days. No trees started erupted from the hardwood so-Â
Perhaps it was just Aphroditeâs moment. She gently tugged on the bottom of his ear, âYou look like you want something.âÂ
Dionysus was playing the brute figure. He loved playing the role just as much as he loved playing the fragile figurine. Bull or doe, it didnât matter to him. What mattered was the reaction the mask garnered, and god did he love the reactions this goddess produced for him. Even if they were just an act, or an act of her nature- He couldnât help but love the consequences. This was a markedly favorite game.
âHush...?â He growled, then made a sound of disapproval. âNow why would I do that?â He made note of her expectant expression, her glance around for some...extraordinary happening. âOh...you look like you want something.â He grinned crooked, cooing, absolutely delighted. âThat breed of magic is the kind youâd have to garner...but I doubt that would be hard for someone like you, goddess.â
