Imagine if Bluebell from the miniseries spent the entire run time wearing one of those flowers that squirt water. Imagine my boy wearing a squirt flower. Squirt squirt squirt says Bluebell as he squirts Holly because he’s mad he accidentally got dragged into the expedition to Efrafa. How dare you make me come along. He squirts his boyfriend Blackberry because that’s how he shows affection. Squirt squirt goes the funny rabbit who squirt squirt squirts any rabbit who happens to walk past because it’s funny but Bluebell is a clown and everyone just goes with it? Squirt squirt dash squirt dash squirt he learns morse code because he is a smart boy. He makes a million trips to the little pond a day so he can refill his squirt flower. Squirt squirt squirt squirt squirt. Oh squirt? Did you want a squirt flower too? No you can’t only ultimate clowns can have squirt flowers.

Two Sandleford Owsla bois!

Ready to defend the warren, it’s Holly!

I took some of his colors from his film counterpart. Added some new markings and colors to give him a little more flair.

And Junior Officer Silver!

I made him extremely pale since he’s described as such. Also I made him look a little bulkier just to emphasize his title.

Next up: Speedwell and Acorn

I drew this two or three years ago for Easter when going through a Watership Down phase and it seemed appropriate to post.

Dandelion and Hawkbit with their respective flowers.

Mmm the two jokester beans!

Swooping in first with Hawkbit!

I based him mostly off of the lore behind the hawkbit plant - which people used to believe that hawks would eat them to improve their eyesight. So, I wanted to make him look a little more like a hawk! The extra fur on his forelegs are supposed to be like wings. Loosely based off 1999 and 2018 designs

And racing over, Dandelion!

I made him extremely yellow, like a dandelion. His fur is spiky like the ones that you’d blow on and make a wish with, and his tail is round and colored like them. I also made him look like a hare, to make him appear a little leaner than the rest of the rabbits to give him that speedy look. Loosely based off 1999 design.

Round three mnehxhdhxg

It is the boi himself, Thlayli/Bigwig!

I took most of the inspiration for his hair from his 1999 counterpart - which I base a ton of m designs off of, oops. The colors I just came up with myself, patterns mostly coming from the 1999 bean. His colors remind me of peanut butter, chocolate, and ice cream, but whatever. I also added more fur on his back legs because he is a floofy boi. I’m overall pretty satisfied with how he turned out!

And the cinnamon roll, Strawberry!

Okay, but I literally made him look like a strawberry. I gave him a softer palette, but I was originally intending for him to look more like a male. Though, it appears that this design works for either gender, haha! The spots on his back are supposed to be like the seeds you’d usually find on strawberries, and the darker red similar to those darker spots you’d sometime find on strawberries. I adore how this design came out!

Here comes Blackberry!

I didn’t have a good reference for Blackberry, so I just went off with imagination! The spots on his back kinda look like those weird thorny things on blackberry bunches?? And his eye color and ears are colored similar to the berries because mmmm it looks nice.

And the splendiferous Bluebell!

Blue. Blue. A lot of blue. He’s a blue bean. Annnnd bad reference images from the show haha... Again, imagination. I made his eyes a brilliant blue to emphasize the flower he was named after. I had fun designing him especially haha~!

Next up: Bigwig and Strawberry

MMMM I’m gonna try to draw most of the Sandleford/journeying (which includes Strawberry) rabbits! Maybe I’ll draw some other characters, but idk.

First up, we’ve got Hazel!

I took inspiration of the coloration from his 1999 counterpart, and his markings from his 2018 counterpart. I’m pretty proud of how Hazel came out. c:

And then we have Fiver!

I pretty much gave him a bigger head, and lighter colors compared to Hazel. His eyes are supposed to look a little odd since he’s a seer, plus he also has the black and red spots on his tail because I like to believe that he gets his visions from the Black Rabbit. c:

This is just a headcanon of mine where they’re in a relationship. I don’t believe they’re canonically gay and I simply made this for fun. :)
