#I am Keeley, Keeley is me
Ted Lasso [2020 - ]
40 FICTIONAL FEMALE DYNAMICS 10. Rebecca Welton & Keeley Jones (Ted Lasso)
I'll kiss you on the mouth if I can reach those lips.
I was high off my ass last night and had this dream where I was in this dense ass forest and sitting there was a tall woman. She was so tall I couldn’t see her face but she was wearing gold and I was like “uh…hi?” And she said “I made you, do you know that?” And I nodded and she was like “I hear your thoughts. Why do you hate my creation? Why do you try to destroy yourself? I made you perfect as you are. Please don’t break my heart”. Then she started crying and it flooded and I woke up with fucking heart palpitations like what does it Mean™️????
polar opposite of this post
inspiration struck and would not let me go until i drew this
This is really beautiful!!!
for lucanis week 2026 day 7! lords of fortune lucanis 😩🪝
all the rights that come with marriage you should be able to have without marriage btw. you should be able to designate a person who can visit you in the hospital regardless of your relationship to that person.
People in the notes are saying "You can!" referring just to the hospital visitation part, and sure (depending). But people should have access to ALL of the benefits of marriage without needing to be married.
You should be able to add anyone you want on your health insurance plan.
You should be able to sponsor the visa of anyone you choose to move to your home country.
You should be able to name anyone you choose as the legal-from-birth legal coparent of any child you give birth to.
You should be able to apply for student aid on your own at any age.
And yes, yes, ideally healthcare and college should be free, international migration should be unrestricted, and the entire concept of legal parenthood should be rewritten from the ground up. But right now we're talking about marriage benefits.
I'm absolutely sure he wears smth like a victorian silk/velvet robe at home, you cannot convince me otherwise...
slow mornings, minimized schedules, dancing in the kitchen, a cozy home, surrounded by nature and the ones i love.
microdosing on catharsis by watching a fictional character or persona i relate to have an emotional breakdown until my chest starts to ache from the amount i've repressed
[Image ID: an image of a pair of scissors cutting a red thread on a plain white background. the scissors are right at the edge of the thread, but haven't cut them yet. the thread is labelled: "the thread i'm hanging on by". the scissors are labelled: "someone's voice cracking with genuine emotion during a performance". /.End ID]
Finally started watching Ted Lasso
And yep I love it. It's so funny
Last year, I befriended a Catholic seminarian. We've gotten to be pretty decent friends. Seeing as he was staying in town for the summer and I wasn't, I entrusted him with caring for my plant.
He did a wonderful job, but as he was returning my plant to my custody, he explained "I watered her every other day, I gave her new dirt, moved her into the sunshine, prayed the rosary-"
"What?"
He looked at me, confused. "Isn't she a plant you pray with?"
"No," I said slowly. "She's a prayer plant. That's the... colloquial name of the plant."
Upon seeing his stricken face, I realized something went wrong. Turns out, this entire time, he's been including my plant in on his prayers and leaving her near icons.
Listen, totally cool. My plant becoming Catholic is a great deal for her not dying over the summer. But now I must navigate this interfaith household. Keep me in your thoughts.
Women covered in blood. Reblog if you agree.
The thing is that sex scenes actually are incredible ways to explore character. People are at their most vulnerable during sex! The way they have sex says a lot of very interesting things about their desires, obviously, but also their psychology, their vulnerabilities, their hopes and fears, etc. It is completely insane to me to think that sex scenes have no value other than to sexually excite the audience. And even if their only value is to sexual excite the audience - SO WHAT?? A movie is supposed to excite and entertain you! Grow up!!!
i do think theres something sad about how largely only the literature that's considered especially good or important is intentionally preserved. i want to read stuff that ancient people thought sucked enormous balls
Time to take this post entirely too seriously:
I often wonder if this is why you so commonly see the sentiment that we are in an era of uniquely bad literature, or at least that the fact that most books don't have artistic aspirations and are not aiming to be anything other than mindless entertainment is new. In fact what's new is the idea that everything is worth preserving (and also the internet making it easier to preserve it). The dumb artistically unambitious trash books of the past have survived only sporadically, because people thought of them as literally disposable.
When I was in college I had a professor who was an expert on detective fiction. He had a longstanding beef with the idea that "Murders in the Rue Morgue" was the first detective story. He thought that it seemed way too polished to be inventing a new genre, and also that the whole orangutan business had the vibe of someone subverting preexisting audience expectations and maybe engaging in a bit of stealth parody. With the help of some student volunteers, he went trawling through old magazines and newspapers and found hundreds of detective stories from the early 1800s that just hadn't garnered enough individual attention to be remembered. This was because most of them sucked balls. He created an online archive of them, so you too can read these mostly terrible stories.
I've spent a ridiculous amount of time on Project Gutenberg sifting through forgotten old fiction and lemme tell ya. a lot of that stuff sucks ass.
Tremendously comforting, really.
Wedding Blessing
Wrote this at 2am on my phone because I was listening to Voila's Something Blue and our favorite yearning Necromancer came to mind
~ Wedding Wrecking with Fluff ~
"Thank you for your blessing today Master Volkarin." Percival Balaste, a junior Mourn Watcher and the day's groom smiled brightly.
As a senior Mourn Watcher, it was both his duty and his honor to bestow blessings on the behalf of the order to those getting married.
Though that day, he was feeling more duty-bound.
"Of course." Emmrich bowed his head slightly.
"I was wondering if you would do me a favor." Percival asked, suddenly timid.
"What's on your mind?"
"Could you bestow the blessing on my bride? I want her to feel welcomed into Nevarra." He asked.
Emmrich stiffened. He smiled tightly. "Of course. That's very thoughtful."
He left the groom still smiling. He took a deep breath.
He hadnt felt this type of foreboding and nervousness since his induction ceremony into the Mourn Watch.
Vera Florius.
The Florius clan of Minrathous had sent their daughters to Nevarra to be amongst the noble houses more. Both daughters had an affinity for magic, though not the necromantic kind.
Didn't prevent Vera from taking classes from the Mourn Watch. He hadn't been a teacher for her but they had been introduced by a colleague.
She would seek him out afterwards with questions about his ability. Questions that he didn't know how to answer at times.
These passing by turned into sitting for tea (coffee for the lady) and going for walks as he showed her around the different parts of Nevarra that didnt fall under the nobles interest, to exploring parts of the Grand Necropolis (after much pleading on her part and hesitance on his).
There hadn't been a day that they didn't at least see each other.
Emmrich was in front of the bridal door.
They both had forgotten that her main reason for being there was to make an alliance. A marital one.
Strengthening the ties between Minrathous and Nevarra. Political protection and status for a Nevarran noble. Strong mage blood ties for her family.
When she told him her parents had matched her with Percival...his heart had sunk to the bottom of his stomach. He didn't miss the disappointment in her eyes but what could he do?
He was far too old for her. Percival was young and quite an adept necromancer. Vera could live a long life with him.
He was a coward.
He knocked on the door.
A moment pass.
"Miss Florius? I've come with a blessing from the Mourn Watch." He said through the door.
Another stretch of silence.
Until finally a soft, "Come in."
Taking another steadying breath, Emmrich let himself in.
The first thing that struck him was that there was no one else in the room besides Vera.
A bride getting ready alone? Most unheard of.
But Vera could be surprisingly unconventional at times.
She was sitting at the vanity. Her wedding dress was still on the mannequin. It was an hour until the ceremony and her hair and makeup were done.
Her hair was up in a tight bun with bejeweled hair sticks inside. Her makeup enhanced her natural features without drowning her in color. Her lips colored to fully show the shape and plumpness.
Flashes of memories of her lips against his. Urgent. Sweet.
Her eyes were glossy with unshed tears and red.
She wore devastation beautifully and Emmrich felt his heart ache.
She stood when she noticed him. The robe she was wearing rippled like water when she moved.
She clasped her hands in front of her.
Perfectly poised like a proper young lady of a noble house.
His grip on his staff tightened. A bride should never look so miserable on her wedding day.
"How are you feeling Miss Florius?" He asked.
Vera looked at him for a long moment, deciding on what to say before finally landing on, "Cold."
As if to emphasize the point, she wrapped her arms around herself. The true meaning wasnt lost on him but he couldn't dwell on words unspoken.
"My apologies. Even in the Summer, Nevarra carries a chill with it." Emmrich said. What was he even talking about? He leaned his staff against the wall and grabbed the throw blanket that was on the nearby chair.
He could feel her stare burning into his face as he placed the blanket around her shoulders, holding it together in front of her. He should let go. He shouldnt look up.
She smells delectable.
Gardenia. Citrus.
Don't look up.
"I wish it was you instead." She said softly.
Emmrich's head snapped up then.
The yearning in her eyes were something he couldn't ignore.
He drew her into his arms. She clung to him like he was a lifeline in the middle of a stormy sea.
"Please Emmrich. Please take me from here." She pleaded into him.
"Do you know what you're asking?" He asked. His voice calm, contradicting the chaos he felt within himself. "Young Master Balaste can live a long life with you." Longer than he will.
"I want you. I want a life with you." She pulled her face out of his chest and looked up at him. "I love you."
Whatever reason he could have came up with to deny her went out the window. He had never seen someone look so earnestly at him while declaring their love. It wasn't a desperate attempt to get out of this wedding. Her words were filled with their shared time the past half year and the promise for more of that.
He leaned down and kissed her. Lingering. Savoring.
"I love you, my darling Vera." He said back.
~ 6 Months Later ~
Emmrich and Vera stood at the altar together. After calling off the wedding with Balaste, they had to do damage control.
Simultaneously, they planned for their own wedding together. Despite the love that Vera had her family, she made it clear to both them and Emmrich that she loved him more.
The guilt that Emmrich felt about wrecking a fellow Mourn Watcher's potential marriage had lessened each day. It was hard to feel bad when Vera held his hand.
"This union is now sealed before the eyes of your friends and family. May love follow you through your days together until death." The officiant finished.
"And beyond it." Vera promised soft enough for only him to hear.
They had talked about Emmrich becoming a Lich. He had scrapped that plan while he and Vera planned for their wedding.
Who would want to be bound to a Lich until their own dying days?
Vera apparently.
Emmrich kissed her. His wife.
The Demon's kiss.
Thank you @sinizade for drawing my beloved pookies. They look beautiful and I can still stop staring at it.
Inspired by a painting called The Kiss. (under the cut) like to imagine that in the end it took the initiative of our beloved boy Spite to finally get these two idiots to make the first move.
I commissioned the incredible @beemot to draw my cocky, sexy, and just a little bit tortured Vampire Lucanis from my Rookanis fic Thirst. (Hopefully I'll be able to post it soon!)
