I catch myself wanting to do the huge all-the-pokemons-are-there it-took-the-quickest-person-6-years cross stitch, any thoughts? 👀

Listen the average size of my cross stitch projects is significantly bigger than what a lot of people who cross stitch would ever consider stitching so I'm never gonna discourage anyone from going for a crazy big project 😂 (also I really wanna do the just gen 4 version some day and I also have a pattern in my backlog of all of gen 1 but arranged in a pokeball shape and in rainbow colour order and I also have made myself a pokemon legends arceus pattern I wanna do some day that is like 485k stitches so yeah 😂)

You just gotta consider a few logistics if you really wanna do a huge project like that:

Like for example even finding a piece of fabric big enough to do a project like that on really isn't easy 😂

Also as far as I'm aware that pattern uses like close to every dmc colour there is so the initial investment is gonna be pretty big

Also that pattern isn't even close to every pokemon there is btw (I think it used to be when it was made) it only features gen 1-5 afaik

but yea my main concern was the cost, the fabric alone is close to 60€ I think 🥲 like the colors I could just not buy all at once, and I feel like the cost of them over like 8 years wouldn't be too great but it's still a pretty big investment time wise hahah

so! since texting you we've decided with my boyfriend I'm gonna make him like a 240x300 stiches pattern I made with flosscross (is that the name?) from ultrakill to put on his wall 🙌

Yeah Pokemon is up to gen 9 by now so gen 1-5 is only 649 of the 1025 pokemon there are now (with gen 10 coming next year which is rumoured to feature the most new pokemon a new gen ever added). It is still a very cool pattern I just thought you should know that it's not every pokemon (even if it is a lot) 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yrah I think for any big cross stitch project the cost broken down over time is really not a lot especially in comparison to a lot of other hobbies but it is an innitial investment to consider 🤷🏼‍♀️
