I don’t think it’s a coincidence that tumblr banned a very prominent Black trans man who is notably a transfeminist. Obviously tumblr’s broken reporting system allowed his harassers to mass report him without any evidence but I do think it’s notable that they banned Salem specifically given how public he is.

i like thinking about the fact that my characters who do represent marginalized identities are imperfect and do things that are questionable or sad or weird because making them 100% good or 100% evil is fucking boring

I'm happy people noticed that in the recent Hitch drawing he draws himself skinnier and much lighter cuz his insecurities are popping out subconsciously. both him and Hitomi aren't 100% good people and it's really refreshing to make marginalized characters share the same complexities as real humans do.
