Just wanted to leave this here… Emerson Fittipaldi on Nando’s statement concerning Max’s titles having more worth than Lewis’:

‘The point that Fernando (Alonso) mentioned has merit because now it is extremely competitive. Much more than when Lewis was winning the championships, that was against his teammate. Now, you have Max who is against a lot of different people. If you think about it, yes, Fernando is correct.“

Thinking about the rivalry with Max and Charles and how it’s always been so respectful. Like even in 2019 they’re with their battles they both loved being able to have some good proper battles. Especially this year both of them commenting on the respect and fun they have racing.

And it also makes me happy to think about how fast they are on the radio for each other. Like in Baku 2021 Charles was fuming that there wasn’t a red flag when Max crashed, in Silverstone 2021 Charles making sure Max was out of the car and commenting that the only good thing out of that day was that Max was okay. Then I’m France 2022 Max asking GP if Charles was okay and out if the car😭

Honestly it’s how a good rivalry should be because there is no toxic vibes with them, it’s so refreshing to see it. And I think it’s really nice after last season seeing Max being so comfortable and talking about racing with his rival🥺🧡

I am so proud of Max for standing up for himself and choosing to boycott Sky and their reporters. They walk around the paddock as if they own in, taking liberties with not only Max' talent and career as a driver but also his character as a person.

From Johnny calling him disrespectful with absolutely nothing to back it up, to Ted walking around with an antenna on his head, calling Max a "human error champion", calling lewis "accidentally" an 8-time champion half a dozen times, spreading the narrative of a "robbed" championship, spreading conspiracy theories about Redbull manipulating the Dutch GP with Alpha Tauri. Crofty accusing Christian of cheating and actually requesting an apology while excusing all the shit thrown at Redbull from the other teams all year, there was no ask of Mercedes and Toto to apologize to Redbull when they lied about them having illegal flexing floors. Of course reporting on the budget cap drama for a month in a completely unbiased manner talking everything Toto said as the truth with no thought whatsoever to wait for actual confirmation from the FIA.

These are just the examples I can think of in the moment, I'm sure there was many, many more. Max doesn't owe them anything, they aren't the cool club of the paddock that everyone has to be nice to, they are just one of many reporters present during the weekend, if they aren't going to do their job right, why should Max give them anything.

Drive to Survive took liberties with Max' character and they never saw him again for 3 years, they were on their knees begging him to come back, don't forget that.

Well said. I really hope he doesn’t give them anymore interviews until Ted/Sky apologises and change their ways. 

It’s really not normal or professional for an international broadcast to be this biased. Seriously, what has Max ever done to them to deserve that?
