I just don't know what to do about school... ugh. It's a long story but, I feel like I have no motivation and that it's just not for me. I just don't know what I want to do with the rest of my life

It’s hard for me to tell you what to do with something so important and $$$$$$ hungry. The fact is, school truly just isn’t for some people. That’s okay, it doesn’t make you dumb or lazy. It’s difficult because it feels like you can’t have a good job without a degree these days but the truth is, if you feel like you’re not doing your best, or like you just actually can’t do better, then take the time to actually make sure what you’re feeling is right. I always say there’s nothing wrong with some time off. If you feel like life is happier and you see a path forming, then that’s wonderful. Sometimes, being realistic is important, and you might find that for what you want, school is needed. Then you need to push through and keep your friends and family close. You don’t have to do it alone. There are many different forms of getting an education. Keep your mental health up. Good luck.

I feel sad for no reason. I recently started birth control and I hope that's the reason it I just don't know. If it's not too personal, have you ever gone on birth control?

Oh honey,Last summer I went on an off brand of Yaz and I got mildly depressed and had wild mood swings. I was Always happy before that, so the change was very prominent to me. After a few months I decided to change it because I was going through something that aided to the depression and my anxiety, and I felt like it was all too much. I went on Vestura, or Camilla, and it made it so much worse. I felt like I was getting upset at everything and so worried and just sad. It’s NOT worth the depression. Find something that works for you. I recently started trisprintec and I feel amazing. I was so scarred from the past few that I thought it would never work for me. Keep trying, don’t forget who you really are, and work on it every day. Good luck sweetie!Sunny.

What would you tell someone who loves their friend? He has a gf:(

I would say to be respectful. If you’re his friend, he appreciates you. If he’s not going to end up with this girl then he won’t, if he will then he will. Honestly, you need to take it as it comes. I’m sorry, I KNOW how you feel. Don’t lose hope, but don’t keep all your eggs in one basket. Continue to be his friend and respect his happiness. It’s okay, it will all be okay. So my boyfriend broke up with me a few weeks ago, and I was heartbroken. But honestly... I feel fine now. We dated for 3.5 years and I feel awful with how fine I feel. Should i?

He broke up with you, leaving him not a part of your life anymore. Where are the rules that say you need to be heartbroken for x amount of time? Everyone heals differently, and with true heartbreak, I’m happy for you that it was an easy recovery. I’m sorry that you had to deal with it, but I hope that apart of you is happy with your current mindset with it. Also, don’t beat yourself up if you feel sad again next week. There isn’t a time limit on this. Use tools like your friends and family and be healthy with it. Good luck:)

All About SunnyAdvice!

Hi everyone! Here is some basic information about the girl behind the advice.

I am 20 years old, and I attend a college in Chicago, Illinois.

My goal is to become an English/psychology teacher for high schoolers. I’m working toward that degree, and I am about half way done.

I love helping people. I feel as though I am kind, and extremely empathetic. That will shine through with my answers to you all. I am the funniest person I know lol (jk but I like to think I’m a hoot). I really care about helping, so i hope you guys get to know me as time goes on.

I love Nate Reuss, Harry Styles, Vampire Weekend, Arctic Monkeys, Hozier, George Ezra, Paramore, and so many other alternative, indie, rock, pop, and hip hop songs.

I had my obsession days with the Jonas Brothers, One Direction, all that lol. I feel like that kind of explains a lot.

I love singing, both in and out of choirs. I love movies and videos of all kind.  My all time favorite hobby is honestly getting high with my boyfriend and eating and chilling lol. Relaxation is my middle name.
