i was feeling /ugh/ in general today from the moment i woke up, so i made myself a strong cup of coffee with a splash of milk to see if that would perk me up. as soon as i sat down at the kitchen table to enjoy it, i saw the sky turn dark grey outside. i went out and just stood at my front porch, watching the rain come down hard with my coffee cup in hand. i’m telling you, there’s only a few things more intoxicating than the smells of fresh brewed coffee and wet earth, and the sounds of roaring thunder and pouring rain combined.

whenever i put laundry to dry, i pop some old towels in with the clothes to help absorb moisture and reduce static. my favorite thing to do with them once they come out all warm and toasty is to wrap luna up in them and watch her relax and get sleepy 🌙
