Hey y'all! I know it's been a while. I can't promise posts will be more frequent, but I am still thinking about this little universe, don't worry.
I have been preparing to go to college in the fall, as well as finishing a few programs in my current college program. I promise I will finish this series.
You woke up in the middle of the night feeling disoriented. You had woken from a nightmare, tears streaming down your face before you were even aware that you were awake.
You began to cry, hugging your favorite stuffy to your chest. After what felt like an eternity, your door opened.
You didn't speak, but launched yourself toward her. She picked you up, holding you in her lap. She began to hum softly.
Slowly, you began to calm down, laying your head on her chest.
"Hm, that's bettee, isn't it?"
You hummed in agreement.
"What had you so worked up, darling?" Caitlyn asked softly.
"Nigh'mare..."
Caitlyn hummed in acknowledgement. "You feel quite warm... you might have a fever."
You snuggled further into her. "S'eep wif you 'n mama?"
"Of course, little love."
Caitlyn carried you to her and Vi's room, continuing to hum softly. She gently laid you down next to Vi.
"I'll be right back."
You pouted as she left the room.
"Cait... did you turn on the heater- Oh, hi sweet pea," Vi greeted once she woke up enough to realize it was you and not Cait. She wrapped an arm around you, pulling you closer. "Shit, you're burning up, pumpkin."
"That's why I got the thermometer," Caitlyn explained, re-entering the room. "Can you be a good little darling and open up for mummy?"
You obediantly opened your mouth, and Caitlyn slid the thermometer under your tongue.
"Don't worry, sweet love. We'll keep the nightmares away," Caitlyn singsonged softly, rubbing your shoulder.
"You have a nightmare, baby?" Vi asked with a frown.
"Unfortunately," Cautlyn answered, taking the beeping thermometer. "Likely due to the fever. Can you drink this for me, love?"
Caitlyn held a small cup to your lips, and you drank obediently.
"That's a good girl," Vi praised. Caitkyn handed you a sippy cup, which you suckled on sleepily, snuggled up to Vi.
"We do have the best little one, don't we, Vi?" Caitlyn joined in the praise. You blushed, curling closer to Vi. "Aww, someone's sleepy."
"It is the middle of the night, cupcake," Vi pointed out, started to drift off as well. Caitlyn smiled, crawling back into the bed.
Would y'all be upset if I didn't finish all 30 days of sicktember? I'm having some difficulty thinking of good stories for some of the prompts that still fit the context. (Don't worry, I'll still continue the series.)
All prompts with lower quality/accuracy, or fewer prompts with better quality.

Alt Prompt: "I love you."
Contains: Non-sexual MD/LG and AB/DL content and depiction of illness. This particular fic also has mentions of diapers and features semi-graphic emeto. If you aren't interested, do not read.
Your Mamas had been busy lately. Very, very busy. They made sure you had eaten and were clean and dressed. They tucked you in at night. They got you to work on time, and gave you hugs and kisses. But they didn't have time to play in the evening. They didn't have time to look at your pretty pictures, or read you a story, or listen to your stories that you narrated to your stuffies. It was starting to feel very lonely.
You knew what they did was very important. You tried to rationalize with your grown-up brain. You stayed quiet, tried not to ask for too much, and overall tried to be the perfect baby. Caitlyn and Vi had noticed, and tried to give you extra praise when they could.
But tonight, you were tired. Sad, angry, hurt, and just... tired.
You didn't want your pasta, even when Caitlyn attempted to spoon feed you. You didn't want your bottle. You didn't want to play. You wanted sleep. You wanted to be cuddled. It felt like too much.
You were torn between screaming and trying to be good. Wanting to run away, but also wanting to run into your Mamas' arms. After failed attempts at feeding, Vi gently picked you up, holding you close and carrying you away from the offending plate of food. You stiffened, but Vi just sat down on the couch with you in her arms.
"You ok, pumpkin?" Vi asked softly, gently rocking you and stroking your hair. You couldn't answer, not with words. Instead, you began to sob into Vi's shoulder, clinging tightly to her. "Shh... It's ok, honey. You're ok."
Caitlyn sat next to Vi, placing a hand on your back and rubbing gently. When your sobs subsided to little sniffles, Caitlyn spoke softly. "I'm so sorry, darling. I know we've been so busy lately. That's been hard on you, hasn't it?"
You gave a small, sad nod, not lifting your head. "M-Mhm..."
"Good news is, I'll have much more time from now on. I was able to complete the project I was working on, and I promise not to take on any more big projects any time soon," Caitlyn reassured. "Do you want a story and a baba tonight?"
You gave a small nod and mumbled a request. "Tea?"
"You hardly ate your dinner, love. It would be better if you had some of your formula," Caitlyn suggested. Your 'formula' was a powdered nutrient drink for those times you struggled to eat. You pouted. "What if it's chocolate?"
You nodded reluctantly, still not really interested. Caitlyn gently coaxed you to look toward her, gently stroking your cheek.
"There's my sweet girl," Caitlyn cooed, kissing you on the forehead. She noted that you were slightly warmer than usual, but attributed it to how upset you'd been.
"Do you wanna have your story in Mamas' bed?" Vi asked. You nodded again. "Alright, let's get you changed into some jammies."
Vi stood up, carrying you up the stairs and into your nursery. She set you down on the bed, choosing a soft pair of pajamas and a nighttime diaper.
She unclipped your overalls, sliding them off of you, leaving you in just a shirt and pullup.
"Honey, how long have you been wet?" Vi asked, concerned. You shrugged. "We're gonna need to check you more often if you don't know."
You whined.
"I know, pumpkin. We just don't want you to get sick," Vi cooed. "Arms up!"
You lifted your arms obediently. Vi removed the shirt. She then picked you up and set you on the changing table. She ripped the sides of your pullup, moving it out from under you and tossing it in the diaper pail. She wiped down your bits, before placing a fresh diaper underneath you, powdering your bottom and taping the diaper securely around your waist.
"Aren't you a cutie?" Vi teased, causing you to blush as she sat you up, helping you into your jammie pants and shirt. "C'mon, I'm sure Mommy's waiting for us."
Vi picked you up again, carrying you to her and Caitlyn's room. Caitlyn was, in fact, waiting for you. Vi set you in her lap, causing the sheriff to smile. Caitlyn kissed the top of your head, holding you close.
"I missed you, sweetheart," Caitlyn said softly, nuzzling your hair. You gave a happy hum. "Are you ready for your story."
You nodded eagerly, curling close to Caitlyn. She handed you your bottle, filled with what tasted like chocolate milk. You gave a happy hum as Caitlyn started to read.
About halfway through your bottle, you stopped. Your tummy didn't feel very happy. You gave a small whine, getting the attention of Caitlyn, who paused her reading.
"What's the matter, darling?" She asked. You handed her the bottle with another whine. "Is something wrong with your bottle?"
"Bad," you said plainly. "Makes tummy feel bad."
Caitlyn frowned, taking the bottle and setting it on the bedside table.
"Is your tummy upset, love?" She asked, gently rubbing your shoulder. You nodded. "I'm sorry, sweetheart. I didn't realize you didn't feel well."
You curled closer to Caitlyn. She gently picked you up, carrying you to the bathroom door. She knocked.
"Vi? Are you about done with your shower?" Caitlyn asked.
"Yeah, was just finishing getting dressed. Need the bathroom?" Vi asked.
"Y/N's tummy's upset. I was going to get her some Tums and check her temperature," Caitlyn explained.
Vi opened the door. "That's no good. I'm sorry, pumpkin."
Caitlyn entered the bathroom, setting you down on the toilet, before rummaging in the drawer for her thermometer. Vi knelt down in front of you, putting her hand on your cheek and stroking it with her thumb.
"Sorry baby, we didn't know your tummy was upset," Vi cooed as you leaned into her touch. You sat like that for a moment, savoring the gently touch. Suddenly, your tummy flipped and you pulled away, gaging forcefully.
"Shit- ok- you're ok, baby-" Vi soothed frantically, placing the small bathroom trash can in your lap. Caitlyn rushed over, abandoning her search for the thermometer to hold you steady, worried that you may fall off and feeling very guilty for making you take a bottle of milk when you'd really needed tea.
You began to retch, bringing up a wave of brown vomit that looked very unfortunately close to what you'd just drank. You began to cry softly as more waves came.
"Sweetheart, I'm so, so sorry," Caitlyn cooed sadly as you threw up. After what felt like forever, though in reality was only a few minutes, you stopped.
"You ok, princess?" Vi asked softly. You gave a shaky nod. Caitlyn took the small bin.
"I'll be right back," she whispered to Vi, who nodded. Vi carefully moved you off the toilet seat and onto the floor, not wanting you to fall. She then stood up and wet a washcloth, before sitting next to you.
"Look at me, honeybun," Vi instructed. You obeyed, and she began to gently wipe your face. "I'm so sorry, baby."
Vi put the dirty cloth into the laundry bin, before gently wrapping her arm around your shoulder. You leaned against her, exhausted.
Caitlyn returned with a fresh pair of pajamas. "Let's get you changed, little love."
Between the two of them, they got you changed in record time. Caitlyn then helped you rinse your mouth out with mouthwash, before guiding you back to bed. She picked up a butterfly shaped medicine syringe, filling it with a pink liquid. "Can you open up for me? This might help your tummy."
You obeyed, and Caitlyn slowly pressed down the plunger, aiming toward your cheek as to not set off your gag reflex.
"You're always such a good girl. I'm sorry tonight was so awful," Caitlyn said sadly. You held up your hands as a request to bed held. Caitlyn obliged, picking you up and climbing back into bed, holding you close.
"Hey cupcake, I finally found the thermometer," Vi said with a slight chuckle.
"Thanks, Vi," Caitlyn said with a slight eyeroll. Better late than never. Vi handed Caitlyn the thermometer, which she gently placed in your mouth.
"Sweetheart, the trash in next to the bed if you feel sick again," Vi explained softly. She kissed your forehead. "Hopefully it won't, but just in case."
Caitlyn took the thermometer when it beeped. "She's running a bit of a temperature. Poor baby."
She thought for a moment, before picking up the book with a small smile.
"We never finished our story, did we?" Caitlyn asked. You gave a hum, pawing at the book. Caitlyn began to read again, as you settled against her. It didn't take you long to doze off in her arms.
"Goodnight, darling," Caitlyn cooed once she noticed you asleep.
"We love you so much, princess," Vi cooed. "Cait, I feel so bad for her."
"I know... I should've known something was up when she wouldn't eat," Caitlyn said, looking guilty.
"I hope she feels better in the morning... She deserves some relaxation after the last couple weeks."

Have had a couple rough weeks lately. Hopefully this week will be better.
You whined, curled up in a ball on the couch. Your entire body was sore. Such is the life of an enforcer...
Caitlyn sat next to you, rubbing your back gently. "I know, sweetheart, I know..."
You curled impossibly close to her. She gently stroked your face, frowning at the heat.
"This is a rough flare... I'm sorry, darling," Caitlyn cooed, kissing your overly-warm forehead. "Vi's picking up some medicine right now..."
It was true. Vi was currently at the shops, trying to find your usual meds. You had run out yesterday, but hoped the flare would go down. It had not. Overnight, you'd gotten worse. You had spiked a fever, and your body felt impossibly sore.
"Do you want to try some soup, love? I can heat it back up for you," Caitlyn offered. You gave a slight nod. Caitlyn stood, wrapping your blanket tighter around your body. She then left the room to heat your soup.
Now you were alone... You held your stuffy close to your face, sniffling. You knew you wouldn't be alone very long, but being in pain was miserable enough without being lonely to boot.
It was less than 15 minutes before Caitlyn returned, but it felt like a century.
"Mama!" You whined. "Gone forever!"
"Oh, I'm very sorry, my little darling. That must have felt like a very long time for you, hm?" Caitlyn cooed. She helped you sit up against the pillows, setting a tray on your lap. The tray held a bowl of chicken noodle soup, a small plate of crackers, and a sippy cup of orange juice. Caitlyn then place a (f/c) bib around your neck. She lifted a spoonful of soup, blowing gently, before putting it to your lips.
You took the bite of soup. It felt good on your sore throat. And... Even if you didn't really want to admit it, it felt nice to be babied like this.
You took a sip from your sippy cup, enjoying the cool juice.
"Is that nice, sweetheart?" Caitlyn asked. You nodded, as she continued to feed you soup.
Soon, the soup was gone. You continued to snack on the crackers and sip your juice as Caitlyn took the empty bowl away. You then heard the front door open and shut, signaling Vi's return.
"Mama?" You called hesitantly. Normally in this headspace, you'd jump up and run to the door for a hug. Today, you were too tired to even get out of bed. It didn't matter, though, since Vi soon came to your room anyway.
"Hey, pumpkin. How're you feelin'?" Vi asked, setting down a small vial on your bedside table.
"Hurts, Mama," you reported, leaning into Vi's touch as she gently stroked your hair.
"I know, baby. Hopefully this will help," Vi said softly. She picked up the vial. "I know this is gonna taste yucky... Can you be a big girl for me?"
"Uh huh!" You said. You really just wanted to feel better. Vi placed the vial to your lips. You drank it quickly, gagging on the taste after. You quickly put your sippy back to your lips, drinking the juice.
"Good girl. You're such a good girl for taking your medicine for Mama," Vi praised, kissing you on the forehead.
Caitlyn reentered the room. "Such a good little darling, taking her medicine without a fuss. Mamas are so very proud of you."
You reached up to the two of them. "Cuddles?"
"Of course, darling," Caitlyn cooed. She gently picked you up, carrying you to the big bedroom, Vi following close behind. The two climbed in, Caitlyn holding you on her lap. "I'm sorry you feel so yucky today, sweetheart. You've been so very good today."
You cuddled into the two of them.
"Hope you feel better tomorrow, pumpkin," Vi cooed. "When you're all better, we'll have to go to the park and get you an extra special treat for being so good."

Alt Prompt: “I want my (comfort item)."

You were crying. You'd woken up feeling off, but assumed that things would get better throughout the day. You were very wrong.
So now, you sat under your desk, having turned the lights off. You clutched your favorite plushie, cuddling them close. Suddenly the door opened.
"Office (L/N), we've got some new... File reports..." A voice started. "Ma'am, is there anything I can do?"
"I-I want Mamas!" You cried out, unable to articulate. The figure stood in silence for a moment, before leaving the room. You hit the desk, not caring that it made your already sore arm hurt even worse.
--
"Yes, of course. Thank you-" Caitlyn said, before nearly being knocked down by one of her officers. "Wha-"
"Sheriff Kiramman... Officer (L/N) is rather distressed... Do you happen to know who her mother is?" The officer explained, slightly out of breath. Caitlyn paused, attempting to keep her composure.
When Caitlyn found you, you were still sobbing under your desk. Your head pounded, your body ached... You knew you weren't making it better by crying, but it's all you could do.
Caitlyn kneeled down next to the desk, gently placing a hand on your shoulder and rubbing soothingly.
"Hello, love," Caitlyn cooed once you'd looked up at her, your face covered in snot and tears. She took a box of tissues from on top of the desk, gently cleaning your face. "What's got you so upset, hm?"
"I-It hur's... Hur's so bad..." You cried out. Caitlyn frowned sympathetically.
"What hurts, darling?" She asked softly. The lights being off had been the first clue.
"Head... And everything... And my eyes and ears and throat..." You listed through tears. "It won't go 'way..."
"Have you taken anything, sweetheart?" Caitlyn asked, smoothing back your hair. You nodded.
"Took Tylenol this mornin..." You mumbled back. "B'fore lunch."
"I'm sorry, darling. Come here," Caitlyn scooped you up, moving you out from under the desk and into her lap. She had noticed you were warm when she cleaned your face, but put it down to you being so upset. However, now that she was holding you in her lap, she couldn't deny the likelihood of you having a fever.
She tried to think what to do. Vi was currently out on a mission, and she couldn't exactly leave either.
"Do you want to lay down in Mamas office? I can make it nice and dim, and get you nice and comfy," Caitlyn cooed. "I'll get you home as soon as I can."
You nodded, laying your forehead against her shoulder.
Caitlyn stood, grabbing your bag on her way out. She carried you to her office, setting you down on her couch, setting your bag on the floor near the couch.
"You're due for another dose of medicine," Caitlyn determined, knowing your schedule well. "I'll get you some more Tylenol after getting you comfortable."
You nodded weakly, still clutching your stuffie.
She opened a cabinet, taking out a pillow and a blanket. She had a few things stashed her for emergencies such as these.
She set the pillow on one end of the couch, gently helping you lie down. She then laid the blanket over you, kissing you on the forehead. Just having her here made you feel a lot better... Or at least enough for the pain to be tolerable. She then opened another cabinet, removing a thermometer, a bottle of liquid Tylenol, and a medicine syringe.
"I'm sorry, love. I only have the mouth thermometer here," Caitlyn cooed. "Open up."
You obeyed, but gagged once it was in your mouth. Caitlyn swiftly removed the thermometer, helping you lean forward. She much rather clean up vomit than have you choke. You panted, tears in your eyes, but did not throw up.
"I'm so sorry, darling. You alright?" She asked, keeping the same soft tone she'd used for you all day. After a moment, you nodded. "Did you eat anything at lunch?"
"Mhm... Ate my apple slices and some Cheez-Its. Didn't feel as bad," you said shakily. Caitlyn frowned.
"Do you think you can try again with the thermometer?" Caitlyn asked. She really wanted to get an accurate reading. You nodded. She very carefully placed the thermometer in your mouth.
"Just hold that in your mouth until it beeps. I'm going to grab you some crackers so you don't have an empty stomach when you take the Tylenol," Caitlyn explained. She stood up, ruffling through the same cupboard that she'd taken the thermometer from, taking out a sleeve of saltines.
The thermometer beeped, and you held it in your hand, offering it to Caitlyn when she returned.
"Good girl," Caitlyn praised, before looking at the numbers. "Hmm... You are quite warm, sweetheart."
Caitlyn set the thermometer on a table next to the couch.
"Could you eat a few crackers?" Caitlyn asked. You hesitated, but nodded, nibbling on the cracker.
Once you'd managed three crackers, Caitlyn pulled the medicine out of the bottle with the little syringe, looking closely to be sure she'd gotten the correct amount.
"You've done so well. Just this medicine, and you can rest, alright?" Caitlyn promised. You opened your mouth obediently, and Caitlyn carefully aimed the syringe to your cheek so it wouldn't trigger your gag reflex and pressed down.
You tasted the odd bubblegum flavor of the medication, making a face before promptly swallowing it down.
"You're such a good girl," Caitlyn praised, kissing you on the forehead once again. She picked up a bottle of water from the table, opening it and holding it up to your lips. You took a couple sips to get rid of the taste, before gently pushing it away.
Caitlyn put the cap back on, setting down the water. She moved to the other side of the room, placing a small trash can next to the couch.
"Just in case, sweetheart. I'll be right at my desk, alright?" Caitlyn asked. You nodded, curling up with your head on the pillow.
--
Less than half an hour later, Caitlyn was alerted by the sound of retching. She quickly stood from her desk, rushing to your side. She found you leaning over the trash can, vomiting up the bit of medicine and your crackers.
"Mama..." You whimpered, before another small wave of sick came up. You coughed and spit.
"I know, love. I'm so sorry," Caitlyn cooed. Once it was clear that you were finished, Caitlyn took a tissue and cleaned your face, before handing you the opened water. "Just swish and spit, alright?"
You obeyed, eager to get rid of the taste.
"I'm going to clean this up. If you can, try to take some small sips," Caitlyn instructed.
When she returned, she found you asleep, having set the water next to you on the floor. Caitlyn smiled sadly.
"Have a nice nap, sweetheart."
--
When you woke up next, you found yourself in your room at home, with Caitlyn sat next to you, stroking your hair.
"Hey, sweetheart. Vi's made you some soup. Do you think your tummy can handle it?" Caitlyn asked, giving you a moment to wake up and process the question.
You felt your body. You figured you may manage some soup. You nodded.
"Good. Here," Caitlyn helped you sit up, arranging the pillows to prop you up. Before long, Vi came in with a tray.
"Hey, pumpkin. I heard you had a rough day," Vi said. You gave a small nod.
"Throwed up," you elaborated.
"I know, baby. I'm sorry," Vi cooed. "I made you some soup."
Vi set the table on your lap.
"Fanks," You replied, slurring your words slightly due to feeling Little and sick.
Caitlyn scooped up a spoonful of soup, gently blowing on it before bringing it to your lips, where you took the bite, happy to find that it wasn't immediately trying to come back up.
The two fed you the bowl of soup, cooing and doting on you. You felt so, so loved.
Very Late CaitVi x Little!Reader Sicktember: Day 6
Alt Prompt: Lullaby
Inspired by Vi humming at the end of S2. And waking up with a cold.
Lyrics from Sleepsong by Secret Garden
Contains: Non-sexual MD/LG and AB/DL content and depiction of illness. If you aren't interested, do not read.
You had woken up in a particularly bad mood. Your throat hurt, your body hurt, and it was early. You began to cry quietly, only aggravating your sore head and runny nose more. Worse, it made you start coughing.
Vi opened your door, alerted by the coughing. "Pumpkin? You alright?"
She herself seemed groggy. You didn't know how early it was, just that it was too early. It had to be if Vi was still waking up.
She made her way to your bed, sitting down next to you. Your cries quieted a bit, but you were still very upset.
"C'mon, sit up, honey," she coaxed, helping you into a sitting position. You began to cough again, this time able to cover you mouth. Vi patted your back gently.
You curled into her side, letting out a whine.
"I know, baby... Let's get you some meds and tea, huh?" Vi asked, not really expecting much of an answer. She gently lifted you into her arms, humming a tune. It soothed you somewhat as you laid your aching head on her strong shoulder.
She carried you to the bathroom, picking out some cough syrup and measuring it out. You whined.
"Is yucky!" You complained, the first words you'd said today. Your voice sounded scratchy, and talking hurt your throat. You broke into another coughing fit.
"I know, sweetheart, but it'll help," Vi explained. Once you stopped coughing, she put the cough syrup up to your lips. You pouted, but took it. "Good girl. Here."
She put a small cup of water up to your lips. You took a sip. It soothed your throat slightly.
"Let's go see what Cait's up to," Vi said to you in a conspiratorial tone. You cuddled back into her as the picked you back up, carrying you down the stairs.
Caitlyn was in the kitchen, sipping on a cup of tea and working on a few documents.
"Damn, cupcake. Don't you think it's a bit early to be working on that?" Vi asked.
"Hmm... Duty calls," Caitlyn said, clearly tired as well. She then looked to you. "Oh, hello, darling. Isn't it a bit early for you to be up?"
You whined, before letting out a small string of coughs. Caitlyn frowned.
"Just gave her some cough syrup. Think she's got a cold," Vi explained. Caitlyn nodded, standing from the table.
"I'll make some tea," Caitlyn said.
"Sweet?" You asked.
"Not too sweet," Caitlyn chided softly, giving you a kiss on the forehead. "Nothing can be quite a sweet as you, little love."
You gave a small smile at the compliment.
"Wanna watch some cartoons, pumpkin?" Vi asked, rubbing your shoulder. You gave a small nod. Vi brought you into the living room, setting you on the couch and sitting down next to you. You crawled closer, just wanted to be held.
"Fine, fine," Vi said with mock-annoyance. She picked you up, kissing you on the head. You curled up on her lap, laying your head on her chest. She wrapped a blanket around the two of you, before picking up the remote and turning on the TV.
You whined at the brightness, burying your face in Vi's shoulder.
"What's wrong, honey?" Vi asked.
"Too bright!" You whined, close to crying.
"Ok, maybe no cartoons for now," Vi said, turning off the TV. Caitlyn came in with a sippy cup of tea.
"Here, love. It should help your throat," Caitlyn assured, handing you the cup once you'd looked up at her. You took the cup, taking a sip. It did feel good on your throat.
"Fanks..." You mumbled.
"You're welcome, darling," Caitlyn cooed. She sat next to the two of you for the time being, gently stroking your hair.
You found yourself feeling very sleepy again. It didn't help that Vi was humming, the sound and vibrations lulling you to sleep. You took another sip from the sippy cup, then looked up at Vi.
"Mama, sing?" You asked. Vi paused her humming.
"You want me to sing, honeybun?" Vi asked. You nodded, laying your head back on her chest. "Let's see what we can do."
Caitlyn took your sippy cup, setting on the table. She also loved it when Vi sang, though she didn't get to experience it often.
"Lay down your head, and I'll sing your a lullaby," Vi began. Your eyelids began to droop as she sang.
"May you sail fair to the far fields of fortune
With diamonds and pearls at your head and your feet." Your eyes were closed, now, your stuffy breathing beginning to even out.
By the time Vi sang "May there always be angels to watch over you" a second time, you were fast asleep in her arms.
