Omori Spoilers Yet Again

Thinking of writing a fic that’s the classic Omari swap BUT have Mari be in a wheelchair. Both her and Sunny went tumbling down the stairs and while Sunny is either in a coma or dead our little perfectionist’s knee finally gave out. Roughly same points as normal Omari except probably worst due to inexperience with writing fanfic. But hey, everyone starts somewhere.

Have you seen my art account? Like only two omori fanarts I’ve done didn’t have Hero in it and it was because they were commissions LOL

I adore hero. He’s amazing and carries so much silently, but still has such a kind heart. My man over here able to apparently do everything he sets his mind to do yet somehow gets overshadowed by everyone because he intentionally keeps to himself? I have so many questions about him because he’s so secretive.

Like when you enter kel’s room you can see immediately what he likes. But hero’s side? Just trophies and books (for studying)? Both things he seems to enjoy having but are also ultimately things he does to please others (namely parents). Does he hide his interests on purpose? Did he feel like his only identity is in the awards/validation he gets?

Why does his family keep getting him hero sandwiches and cookies each time he comes over as if they don’t know anything else he likes??? He’s a dork who loves puns and collected mixtapes but you only see that in headspace because of sunny. He got his ears PIERCED- all without anyone knowing that was a thing he was interested in. He loves to cook but ultimately pursues his parents wishes instead and seems to keep his cookbooks in the treehouse as far away from his house as possible. How much more of himself is he keeping from us???

Plus he’s a people pleaser and as someone who struggles with that, I know how lonely that makes you end up feeling. So TERRIBLY lonely because you don’t feel comfortable exposing yourself. What if they don’t like what’s truly there? What if YOU don’t like what’s truly there? Kel had never seen hero lash out the way he did because he bottles things up, and the one time he’s able to let it out he scares his brother to tears. His main likely confident, Mari, is gone. The age gap between sunny/Aubrey/kel/basil and him is probably big enough that he probably didn’t feel as comfortable sharing himself as he did with Mari, because he’s suppose to be the eldest- the example. He has guilt from not being able to fill that role without Mari. I can’t imagine how devastated that must’ve made him feel but he picked himself up from that in the best way he could while still feeling like he was the cause of Mari’s death.

I just have many thoughts and love for Hero. He’s so…somber yet still so warm. I find him to be so interesting. I wish others did too.

One of the many things I like about hero is the fact that he got his shit together. Dude comes back to town, saves Sunny and Basil from drowning, takes the flower boi home and makes sure he recovers and THEN relaxes, Next day, he gets the gang back together through his insistence which helps Aubrey get her shit off her chest. If it weren’t for him being so much of a saint, poor Aubrey wouldn’t have resolved her issues with the group along with having to deal with the same guilt that plagues Sunny. Man lives up to his name no matter how you cut it.

Omori Spoilers Again

I think the most painful part to me about Mari fanart to me is that I ache to think about what could have been. Mari’s death shook the little found family of the cast and caused so much pain. The worst part? It’s in the past. Even if you quit the game the moment you start in Whitespace it doesn’t change the fact Mari is already in the ground and the tears that have been shed. It’s a tragedy that already finished. You’re in the epilogue now.

Fair enough. Dude probably has mad skills due to the amount of time on his hands. Problem is I don’t think he’d be able to entertain an audience. He lacks the charisma. Kel might suck, but he definitely has the energy to keep on going with a chaotic audience.
