Phainon’s unwillingness to let Mydei go needs to be studied in a lab. In any other cycle Phainon was in, he was sad when the companion who made it to the end with him left, but he understood. But when Mydei was the last one standing with him? Phainon *begged* him to stay and witness the Era Nova with him. When Phainon had to kill the other Chrysos Heirs he was cold, feeling himself drift further away from humanity. When he had to kill Mydei he was tender, filled with sorrow and regret. Losing Mydei still hurt after all that time. Despite it all, his heart was never truly hardened to it.

I am so happy where Stolitz is at...

They're definitely not "just friends" but you can tell that they're taking things slow, and I love that for them.

Blitz and Stolas look at each other with so much love, it's so beautiful.

Stolas now knows Blitz cares about him, and I love that they didn't need to say it.

It's so important to me that Stolas got to make this choice.

Yes, he's dealing with a lot. He lost everything he had. But it was finally his choice.

Stolas never got to make choices for himself. He didn't get to choose the person he married. And he didn't get to choose to be a father.

As much as he deeply loves Octavia, it wasn't his choice (in any way) that she was born.

Stolas made his first real choice in life.

For all the consequences that choice brought, he chose love.
