Taiwan 7-Eleven mascot Open-chan flies away
he has ascended
“They took our land, they imprisoned our queen, they banned our language, they forcibly made us a colony of the United States. America says they are democratic, that is a lie! They have never been democratic with Native people! They have never been democratic with Indians! They have never been democratic with Hawaiians!”
Haunani-Kay Trask, 1993
does the term “content creator” make anyone else irrationally angry?
the reduction of all online art, writing, music, comedy, etc to just “content” rubs me the wrong way. gets my goat. steams my beans
see this is exactly it and the fact that we have reduced all expressive forms to “content”makes art a lot less special because all of a sudden, everything is art. it devalues the individual expression, saturates the market with barely relatable things because they share a hashtag, and the expectation that all creative and expressive works must be palatable to a wide audience. everything has to appeal to as many people as possible instead of just being art for arts sake.
Interesting to note :0 saw it on twitter and thought I’d share!
This is FASCINATING and describes something I couldn’t put my finger on!!
A major difference things like this don’t take into account is animation.
When the original pokemon were designed, they were just static six-bit colorless sprites. They had no clue what was to come in the next 20 years.
Over the next twenty years, pokemon has become insanely popular. Disney level popular. Each game has increased the animation until each one now has a fully animated CG model, rendered in far more detail than the first gen Gameboy sprites could ever dream of. It’s had thousands of cartoon episodes and around two dozen movies.
The newer designs are-
Much easier to animate, and more importantly,
Significantly easier for children to draw.
And that’s ultimately what this franchise boils down to: it has to be accessible to children.
I think that’s a really interesting point because as a child I always thought it’s really really hard to draw Pokemon! So I honestly never did.
nintendo copy right striked a fanart 3D model of Bowser's cock and, by doing such, has now confirmed what it canonically looks like
here’s a link to the artist’s tweet about it, featuring the dick itself https://twitter.com/akkoarcade/status/1380764674656858117
I was truly expecting a Rick roll…but uhhh

that’s him officer, the man who told me he’d give me weed if i showed him my lightsaber
That’s why we keep getting hacked lmao
its because schools are so caught up in violating students every rights to privacy that they are blatently disregarding thoes same kids safety. zoom allowes you to track eye movements. mousepad/mouse movemenst. the browser activitiy of the user. its horrifying and dare i fucking say litteral motherfucking spyware. its not a app its a fucking virus. its so horrifically easy to guess every facet of zoom that im guessing that schools just looked at the violation features and took them in without a second throught or trial. they disregard better functioning programs like discord because they are horrified that thoes programs would give students a sliver of privacy their instistance on using zoom is a very clear direct cause of schools horrific obsession with micromanageing every single facet of a students life. report the fucking app. get it taken down
If you have to use Zoom, your best bet is to run it from the browser. The Zoom website will try to get you to use the app, but if you keep declining that, it will use its browser-based interface. Since browsers have much better security, they’re unable to do any kind of persistent monitoring and have almost no access to system activities. When you close the tab, you can be assured that it isn’t running.

^^^^^^^ REBLOG THIS VERSION TOO
Thank goodness my district was smart and used Google Classroom. They are extremely strict about internet security and every student already has a Google Classroom account anyway.
Or use Microsoft Teams. It comes in the Office for Education suite that is free for all K-12 and university students and teachers. If your K-12 school or university has Office 365, I can almost guarantee it has access to Microsoft Teams and doesn’t need to use Zoom.
There are accessibility issues with Zoom as well (such as difficulty or inability to take notes while the meeting is going on).
united states citizens who are married to immigrants are being denied stimulus checks
These people are taxpayers with ITINS (individual taxpayer identification numbers) but they and their families are ineligible because stimulus checks are only granted to couples filing jointly if both individuals have SSNs ( UNLESS one spouse is in the military, but that’s a different post)
Not only is that policy driven by racism, It’s also a violation of the fundamental right to marriage ( Loving v. Virginia, Oberfell v Hodges). A precedent has been set that discrimination based on who someone is married to is unconstitutional.
An idaho man going by John Doe for anonymity has filed a class action lawsuit against Trump, Mcconell, and Mnuchin on behalf of “All United States Citizens married to immigrants that file joint taxes wherein the immigrant-spouses file tax returns using an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number whom would have otherwise qualified for the Stimulus Check.”
Stay informed and don’t let mixed status families lose out on potentially lifesaving money because of the U.S government’s discriminatory policies
this blog hates donald trump
The animation just gets better and better
for anyone who’s wondering where tf is Leo and Splints...
WATCH THE SHOW YOU COWARDS, I DARE YOU!!
no, but honestly.. give this show a chance. Nick’s been treating the show real bad for putting it on Nicktoons after the low rating they got (ye know, after how people just casually hating the show over a new different concept with different art style).
the show is honestly so damn perfect it’s a DAMN shame to ignore their existence. we all can see how the crew put care, love and tons of hard works onto the show by at least looking at it..
( ANIMATICS from the clips above )
idk, just check the show out.
important psa about buns
We raised rabbits when I was a child and my sister gave a rabbit a bath (she was 5) and it died..so heed this instruction.
I wasn’t going to reblog this, but then I realized I might save a rabbit.
This is important guys. If your rabbit gets into something gnarly and you HAVE to bathe them: 1. Fill a bowl with warm water. 2. Get a washcloth. Put it in the water. Squeeze it out until it is just damn. 3. Lightly scrub the dirty area on your bun. 4. That is it. DO NOT get your bun wet. Only slightly damp on the part that was dirty. (source)
VERY IMPORTANT! SAVE A BUNS LIFE!
Do not bathe your bun!!!!
Boosting!
this applies to guinea pigs, too!
Etsy sellers are urging people not to click on ads, and many are considering leaving the platform altogether.
Please if you see my or any other Etsy sellers ads outside of Etsy please don’t click them. Instead of helping them you might actually make them lose money on the items.
There is only one problem: That won’t do anything as it was already confirmed that Etsy even considers every kind of redirection via an site with link extensions (when sites add a tracking parameter at the end, like FB’s ?fbclid=enterlongnumberhere) as “ad”, so if somebody finds your item as part of a normal Google search, you will already have to pay the fee, same if you linked your item on FB.
So you’re saying if I’m advertising the items on Instagram or Facebook it also counts as Etsy Ads? Because it seems really vague to me. I thought it only counted if Etsy embed the ads by themselves or whoever desides where they go.
That’s correct, any redirection counts as “off-site advertising” which the fee is for. As mentioned it was already confirmed by users who called their support.
1-844-659-3879
That is Etsy’s customer service number. It’s well hidden on their site now.
Call them. This is unfair to sellers, and most buyers are there to put money in an artists pocket, not Etsy’s pocket.
Call them if you’re a seller. Call them if you’re a buyer. Tell them you think the fee is ridiculous, over-priced, and that Etsy already took more than their fair share from sellers profits, and tell them their greed and theft from artists is obscene. Tell them they have NO RIGHT to charge us a fee for LINKS AND GOOGLE SEARCHES. Tell them that when we’re advertising our own products they have 0 right to take 12% with the claim that they got us the sale when WE were the ones working to make sure people knew the products existed at all. Tell them they have to either VASTLY lower the percentage they take, or give us all the option of opting out. We have absolutely no say in this. I can say I will be finding a new platform if this isn’t changed and fast though.
For those of us not in the US, this link is the best option I’ve found. (And it was pretty well hidden, too.) I’d advice anyone using that form of contact to include a comment about how this advertising policy makes it less likely that you’ll buy something through Etsy - money talks.
If it can help non-US shops, here is the message I just send Etsy here because their capitalist madness since they entered stock market just infuriates me:
___________________________________________
Hello,
Could you please share the legal ground on which your team built this mandatory policy?
Because, as I see it, Etsy has no right to charge me fee for sales only because buyer followed a link to my shop if that link wasn’t validated by me.
We are not talking here about affiliated links (like said amazon ones, were I myself put a tag showing I agree to the service).
Links coming from google are whatever are just that : links, ie pathways I have absolutely no control over.
They don’t represent a service I signed a contract binding me for whatever fee you want to charge me and other sellers.
So please do share the legal ground over this – or better : call off this nonsense.
As a seller and a buyer for many years, keeping on with this project would be the last of many straws that would lead me to quit this madhouse you’ve called a business for the past years.
