When Biden questioned the Palestinian death count, that was textbook genocidal rhetoric from arguably the most powerful man in the world. Absolutely terrifying.

While all of Europe is responsible, I think itâs also important for people from the UK to acknowledge the particular and direct culpability of our government in what has happened in Israel and Palestine - mostly because it never is. Politicians donât mention it, the media never mentions it, they tell you nothing about it in school, no one talks about it. I was just saying exactly the same thing about India, but if you ask an average British person if they think their country did a good job of ruling Palestine youâll get a blank stare, maybe theyâll pull a massively uninformed opinion out of their arse, I doubt many could tell you exactly when it was. But the fact is that when Britain assumed control of the Holy land in 1918 both Zionism and Palestinian nationalism were relatively minor concerns, and when we left in 1948 there was a civil war raging between those two sides. All of the important seeds of the conflict were sown and took root while Britain was in charge. The first major Palestinian uprising of 1936-39 was an anti-colonial struggle against the British Empire.Â
But today, watching the news, British people are like âwow guess weâll never understand why Jews and Arabs just naturally hate each otherâ⌠just like those Hindus and Muslims in India and Pakistan, and those Catholics and Protestants in Northern IrelandââŚ.. and all of those other places on earth where the legacy of British occupation and partition is division, violence and misery. The Empire is not a distant memory we can feel vaguely proud and nostalgic about (as most British people apparently do) it was a global crime of almost unimaginable proportions and itâs still (in some cases quite literally) blowing up in our faces.Â
I recently stumbled across a theory that Bee isnât even the ORIGINAL Bee, sheâs just a robot her father created to replace the real human Bee who presumably died years and years ago (Bee did say in the birthday episode that she got really sick one time, so thereâs actual canon evidence to back this up). Honestly I really dig this one bc the angst potential is huge, it really fits into canon so well regarding Beeâs general behavior and how others view her. And her being a robot is already so isolating for her, but imagine if sheâs just a replacementâthatâd probably make her feel even more out of place than anything, which is why she connects with Puppycat so well.
Also tying this into the reboot, if the Bee that Puppycat babysat for a day was the original human Bee, that would make things SO sad. Imagine being on the run in a âmonstrousâ form for years and finally returning to one of the planets you feel safe to hide onâŚonly to find out that the girl you once looked after is dead and has been replaced with a robot. And that robot is well aware that her entire existence is a feeble attempt at preserving what once was, that sheâs not human, that sheâll never live up to the original human version of herself. Oof.
Maybe Puppycat originally decided to stay with her out of pity, but over time grew to really care about her as her own person. And I feel like Bee would definitely appreciate that đĽş

I also like it when they're like hey what's up or something personal/natural instead of the welcome to wherever how can I serve you bit.
I also like it when they are sitting down or listening to music they clearly enjoy
There is something so nourishing about walking into a place of business and immediately thinking "huh, I wouldn't have guessed this place would be playing this kind of music" only to see an employee absolutely head-banging along because today is their day to pick the CD and they are living

if you need fewer than 8 hrs of sleep keep that shit to yourself. or do one better and simply lie and say that 8+ hrs of sleep is necessary for you. if youâre out here loudly bragging about ur 4 hour sleep maximum i consider you an oppressor. best case scenario is people clap for you and feel jealous. worst case scenario you signal to the capitalist dogs that we should all try to be like you. the risk is too great and the reward too little
