This makes so much sense. I struggle with peopleās kindness towards me all the time. #Repost @nataliegutierrezlmft ć»ć»ć» When youāre struggling with kindness and youāre a survivor, know that this isnāt because youāre ācrazyā. This isnāt because youāre not appreciative. This is old wounding. Past painful learning reminding you that acts of kindness have tinges of abuse attached to them, that someone being kind couldnāt possibly just be authentically being kind but will certainly want to hurt you, violate you, and betray you somehow. It is fear and survival teaming up to protect you and raise the alarms for you to protect yourself. It is neuroception- though negatively affected neuroception when your mind has been taught to expect abuse and couple it with niceness. .
The healing work is here. Giving yourself a safe body to begin to re-learn and reconnect more accurately with your ability to gage environments and not carry the burden that everyone being kind to you is bad or has bad intentions. #cptsd #complexptsd #complextrauma #developmentaltrauma #childhoodtrauma #trauma #ptsd #childhoodptsd #cptsdrecovery https://www.instagram.com/p/B568Liegipm/?igshid=kubve0lsoei3
