One of my favourite tropes in fanfic is the clones trying to get their Jedi to wear some armour. My friend however, suggested a very fun solution to the clones their issue.
Paint ball guns.
The clones start carrying around paint ball guns and try to hit their Generalâs and Jedi Commanders wherever they are exposed.
But just imagine they are in the middle of a meeting, and one of the clones just whips out a paint ball gun and tries to shoot their commanding officer.
âThis wouldnât have happened if you were wearing armour, sir.â
This trains Jedi of all ages to instinctively dodge shots from their troopers
AKA: AU where Order 66 fails because of paintball
Or, from a certain point of view: AU where the Jedi are saved precisely because they don't wear armor, and in retrospective conclusion, were correct not to  :shootingstar: :rainbow:
Cody: ...Was it necessary to create an entire Space Power Point on this topic, sir.
Obi-Smug Kenobi: Well we wouldn't want the Senate's final war software funding to go to waste
Cody: And the Space Emoticons. Sir.
Obi: Ahsoka has been teaching me :handclap: :eggplant:
Cody: SIR.
Anakin: AHSOKA WHAT DID YOU TELL HIM EGGPLANT MEANT AHSOKA GET BACK HERE AU where Anakin is too busy staring in horror at Obi-Wan's text history to call back Palpatine Really going to have to put you on hold Sheev it's an emergency AHSOKA I SWEAR IF HE EGGPLANTS MY WIFE ONE MORE TIME Obi: Your who Anakin: uh Obi: ...Obi: :wedding ring: :eggplant: Star Wars Palps meanwhile found dead of a... live paintball round? Commander Fox quoted as saying Wonder how that got in there Commander Fox deserves a little barely disguised murder in every AU as a treat

Sounds like the name of a plinko horse
i was so naive in thinking that spirk shippers were exaggerating. what the fuck is wrong with these two.
I love seeing people watching TOS for the first time and learning that our foremothers were definitely on to something

Shots Iâve taken over the years, from jaguars, arctic foxes, snowy owls, white tailed eagles, wild mustangs, polar bears, to mountain lions.
Photographed all over our planet from North to South America, high Arctic of Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland, and Scandinavia.
Imagine being one of the parents for the kids in the Magic School Bus class. Getting those field trip permission slips home every single night.
Like what, another one? Doesnât she teach? This just says Inside a Dog
Ms Frizzle sending you one (1) permission slip at the beginning of the year to cover all the field trips and youâre like huh thatâs a little unusual but I guess itâs efficient at least and then you open it and itâs written like This

Being a flop changed my life. The world is not my oyster, I am glowing. I walked into a pole this morning. There's very little I wouldn't do for $1,000
Fascinating how what's considered feminine and what's considered masculine can change over time. The rebranding of being a horse girl into being a stereotypical feminine girly trait needs to be studied.
Look at classic children's novels. As recently as the 50s and early 60s, being obsessed with horses as a girl was depicted as strange and tomboyish, and the very concept of being obsessed with horses from early childhood and loving toy horses and desperately wanting your own horse being a "little girl thing" and not a "little boy thing" would send someone from the 1800s and earlier into a coma.
There's maybe a point to be made here somewhere about how when keeping and riding horses stopped being necessary to the functioning of society and became a more "frivolous" thing, it was rapidly rebranded as silly and girly and for women, but what do I know.
i wrote a paper in my masculinity studies class in college about this exact phenomenon, specifically about how high heeled shoes started as a practical way for Persian cavalry to keep their feet on their stirrups, then likely due to that association, became a popular fashion item and status symbol among the upper classes of Europe, before the Great Male Renunciation of the 18th-19th centuries, when men started shunning opulence in favor of utility, leaving them as a fashion item for women instead.
I've joked that the two genders are Aesthetic and Utility before but thats just kinda the case

The rest of the thread is here.
tl;dr: Donât monetize AO3, kids. You wonât like what happens next.
read this thread. this is by far the most concise explanation of a lot of different issues that iâve seen in fandom spaces in a while. cosigning both the linked thread and the thread about aus/uk/can law thatâs linked in-thread.
AHDHXHEBSG TWITTER WRITERS DID WHAT NOW???? AND PEOPLE PAID THEM????
If someone has never taken a class that includes copyright law, they may not know this stuff, so I donât necessarily blame random people for not knowing what copyright is, but like⊠maybe just maybe itâs something that should be taught????
Just another reminder, because this always drives me crazy, but even if monetizing your fic was 100% unambiguously legal and protected, AO3 would still not let you do it because AO3 was founded and is supported by people like me who want a fandom community that is completely divested from making money off of fic.
Yes, this. Lots of fanworks on AO3 are unambiguously legal. Fics based on Shakespeare plays and fairy tales and Greek mythology and The Great Gatsby and your original character from your D&D game are not violations of copyright, because no copyright applies to those things.
AO3 still doesnât let you monetize those things on the site, because we donât want the site to be commercial! Because thatâs not what itâs for!
Itâs not there for you (generic you) to make money off the efforts of the people who build and maintain the site for free! We arenât getting paid for the work we do to give you a nice site to use, just like you arenât getting paid for the work you do to create whatever art you share there. Because fandom is supposed to be a community where we share with each other, and therefore we all benefit.
The deal is, we give you a free, stable, safe platform to host your works. In exchange, you get a site that isnât covered in ads and tip jars and links to gofundme and âread the next chapter at my patreonâ. You get one goddamn place on the internet that isnât trying to make money off you. And we will defend that space and keep it non-commercial.
If you want to make money off your fics, you can instead post them somewhere like royal Road. âOh, but Royal Roadâs culture is so much more negative and stressful and lacks the supportive norms of AO3!â Yeah, because people are trying to make money there. Half the userbase is treating it as a storefront and hustling is the natural social consequence of that. AO3âs culture can only exist because itâs not commercial.

I also realized that I've accidentally made a short comic about the fate of these blueberries with my 3 paintings haha

My brain wouldn't shut up until I made this.
Bruce: Who are you?
Danny: Your worst nightmare
Bruce: Alfred getting married!?
Danny: .... I was going to say, I'm the boy you failed to save coming back to haunt you, but you know what? I'll do that instead.
Bruce: Do what?
Danny: Get your butler married
Bruce: Alfred would never marry a child
Danny: True, but he might be tempted by someone's rabid 25-year-old son!
Bruce: What?
Danny is making a quick phone call: Dan! I need you to come seduce a silver fox as an act of vengeance.
Dan: How silver are we talking?
Danny: If someone found this silver in a yard sale, they would make twenty million off of two dollars.
Dan: HOT DAMN THAT'S SOME GOOD SILVER. I'LL BE THERE SOON
Danny hanging up: You have a few days to make peace with this, Wayne. Soon, my brother will be your stepfather
Bruce: You absolute monster
How much of an age gap? Enough to make Vlad cringe.
Dan is living the dream.
I need Dan bringing his A game. Not showering him in expensive fancy gifts. No no no. Dan rocking up with rare roses in a pot Sam grew. Special own blend teas. interesting new recipes with all the ingredients to try. Alfred expecting some sort of young, rich idiot who would do what Bruce does, throw money at problems. But no, what he actually is faced with is a handsome young man who puts so much care and thought into the gifts.
He helps out around the house, and is an excellent chef.
He has gentle hands to rub in arthritis cream with, but also an extensive knowledge of firearms and the willingness to use them.

What Alfred expects: a rich young idiot who thinks the best way to woo someone is by buying expensive things without thought to anything but the price tag
What Alfred gets: a rich young man who puts THOUGHT into gifts, respects his gun collection (is in fact very impressed) and considers messing with Bruce (who is as loved as he is frustrating) a bonus not the main goal
