Whumper who dresses Whumpee in pretty jewelry and chains, pretty body paint and clothes, they get the best food, the most beautiful room and the best fabrics, the softest pillows.
But a gilded cage is still a cage.
The bubble is nigh.
I'm just going to say it - body hair (and beauty standards in general) is truly one of the final frontiers of women's issues in the West. Too many women just love their gilded cage too much. It shocks me how virulently women will defend it. I barely open my mouth and the "well I like how it feels. it just makes me feel cleaner. sensory issues. I do it for me. feminism is about choosing (to conform)." brigade come rushing in by the dozens.
Well I don't like how it feels. I don't feel cleaner without body hair. I don't prefer not having body hair. But who will advocate for women like me, but me? For women who do like hair removal, they are advocated for every time they step out of the house and see 99% of the female population also conforming to that standard, or when they watch a movie and see all the shaved actresses, or view an advertisment, or open a magazine, or watch a music video, or scroll through social media, or walk down the streets without receiving insults and glares for having a completely normal bodily feature.
You genuinely can't even point out that hairlessness is a man-made standard without women losing their shit and acting like they are totally immune to propaganda they've been exposed to from birth. I'm so tired.
every day it just concerns me how little compassion people have. no compassion for those living in the global south. no compassion for immigrants. no compassion for disabled ppl. no compassion for addicts. no compassion for prisoners. no compassion for children. like holy shit ...
right where did i say i show zero compassion for animals and you know you don't have to reblog posts you don't like and disagree with and you also don't have to bitch about me on the tags of my own post that i can see. you know all that right?
not that OP should have to handhold and walk y’all to this conclusion, but on what planet would a person who gives no shits about their fellow man give a single shit about animals? like. follow the logic you seem to think is missing back to its source. and if you’re thinking about one notable vegan exception to this rule, it kind of highlights why OP would need to make this post in the first place.
because some of y’all read this post about showing compassion to human beings and went “well what about animals” proving that you would rather show compassion to beings you have few similarities to and can’t communicate with than a person with needs and wants and dreams that are, probably, fundamentally similar to your own. loving animals like that despite the ocean of difference between you and them, despite the language barrier, should make you better at extending the same privileges to other people. and yet… you would rather be weird on the internet and willfully misconstrue the OP.
look inward
I feel like a lot of people get "All Art is Political" confused with "All Art is made with Political Intentions" which is not the same.
I love her your honour... I love her so much 🥲🥲🥲

I'm just saying, if you're going to worldbuild magic being a "raw, primal force, akin to and interweaving with nature itself" you gotta explain to me why animals don't use it
I know the normal answer is "they just aren't smart enough for it" but idk I've seen enough media where a character uses a spell in a moment of brain-off panic ilI feel like animals could probably stumble into a spell or two like, accidentally
Also how funny would it be to see a completely normal regular bear cast magic missile outta nowhere
Also there is no way ravens wouldn't figure out spells, tbh
They're smart fuckin birds, I believe in them
Either through observing or just figuring shit out ravens could 100% learn how to cast spells I'm sure of it
Dogs can also cast Magic Missile but every time they do the projectile is shaped like a bone or a stick and they chase after it

“If I have one message to give to the secular American people, it’s that the world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don’t know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same.”
― Marjane Satrapi, Iranian graphic novelist
