The professional clown is back. This has shown up near me again and ive scrolled a little throught the tags and im here to try to help the people trying to do my job in the tags but poorly.

Plus you need to account for the fact that one of the several differences between a poodle and a regular balloon dog is the short length of empty balloon in the tail. It also uses *slightly* more empty balloon in its twists, since theres more of them to make their fabulous hairdos.

on the topic of disabled characters, though, i think a LOT of artists give characters mobility aids that their character wouldn't actually benefit from using.

i'm sort of having a mild brain fog moment rn so i can't fully articulate what i'm on about, but i think a lot of able-bodied artists view things like canes and crutches as interchangeable. and they often don't know enough about the wide range of mobility aids to make an informed decision about what their character might actually use based on their disability

i also think that aids like walkers and rollators are sort of viewed as "cringe" on some level, and many people view them to be "just for old people," so many artists will opt for giving a character who has full-body pain and fatigue a cane (which, in many cases, can potentially WORSEN full-body pain) instead. and a lot of people don't realize that most wheelchair users are able to walk, so they don't consider it an option for characters with chronic pain

not necessarily! please please please click that link! if your cane works for you and relieves your pain, please continue using it!

canes CAN (not "will," can) worsen pain in the rest of your body if:

you require the type of full-body support that can be achieved with crutches, a walker or rollator, or a wheelchair

you have loose joints in the arm you hold your cane with, or if you are resting too much weight on your cane (this can cause joint and muscle pain in that side of your body)

your cane is not the correct height for your body (this can cause back pain)

and more things i'm probably forgetting !

the tl;dr is that mobility aids are not one size fits all. if you haven't noticed that your cane is making your pain worse, then maybe that's because it isn't! i encourage trying out new mobility aids if you're in the place to. these devices are used to solve problems. for example, i always liked going shopping over other outings because i was able to lean on the shopping cart, and that helped me stay out longer. that's why a rollator was right for me! it solved some of my problems. if your cane solves problems for you, keep using it! there's no harm in owning multiple types of mobility aids and using them based on what you need that day

Tachigin is so fucking crazy I love them

They’re a straight ship with immaculate gay energy. Gender swap one of them and it wouldn’t be out of place. Gender swap both of them and it’s still good. One or both of them are trans? They remain iconic. This is like the one time a straight ship is better than a gay one how did they do it. What kind of magic had to be done for Tachigin to be as insanely good as they are. I’m not complaining but I’d like to know. They can do tropes they can do au’s they can do canon. They aren’t even that problematic there are like two issues with their relationship and they’re easy enough to resolve. They’re iconic, they’re a straight couple the gays ship. What the hell Asagiri.
