âăâăâ Coming here to Revocs Headquarters was probably the most difficult part of starting anew. She had no complications when dealing with the affairs of the mansion but this was a completely different story. In a way, she had long since forgotten that Ragyo had even lived in their home due to that fact that she rarely ever went there. Even as a child, Satsuki often spend time on her own or in the presence of the hundreds of butlers and maids that were employed there. As far as she was concerned, Ragyo was only a figurehead when it came to being a mother. It wasnât in her nature to be nurturing and all the things she needed while growing up especially after the death of her father. That was an issue that persistently plagued her thoughts but she was taking it one day at a time.
Right now her focus was on the empire her mother had established in the duration of her lifetime. It was on a scale that was out of this world. Literally. Today would be the day that it would cease to exist on the face of this world. The clothing monopoly had been broken, once Satsuki disbanded the company. In its place would be yet another clothing line that would build it grow in the old fashion way, with competition. If there was one thing her mother taught her, it was the importance of clothing. Yet that information would be applied to human beings rather than to feed extraterrestrial lifeforms that only sucked the life out of its host.
One last inspection had to be given in order for the building to be destroyed. Construction workers were outside awaiting her confirmation to proceed with their job. It had taken around a whole hour or so to walk the entirety of the building but this was just a walk in the park for Satsuki Kiryuin. It wasnât until she reached Ragyoâs office that she felt her emotions spike the strongest. With it came a flood of memories from her childhood, both good and bad.If there ever was a time that she felt any kind of love from Ragyo, it was here.
As a child, she was often brought here to see exactly what she would inherit when the time came. The tenderness her mother showed during that time was only experienced while inhabiting this establishment. And even then, it was primarily centered on Life Fibers. That was how Satsuki had originally grown to hate the things. She wanted that genuine love and affection from her mother. It was in her birthright.
Yet why could she not attain a sliver of it even with all the effort she displayed?
She did well to hide her true feelings but being here just revitalized those emotions that were thought to have long since disappeared. Though by now, they had lost all importance in her life. Her dark eyes instantly shifted over towards the large chair behind what was once Ragyoâs desk. Very little had changed. It was still as cold as it had always been.
However, there was one particularly notable difference since her last visit. Sitting in one of the client chairs was a person that was covered in a rather shabby beige blanket. For a while, Satsuki remained in place, staring at the back of this mysterious person. Only one person came to mind while she did this. There was only one worker that had made it out of the catastrophe alive so it was no question as to the personâs identity. Her intentions, on the other hand, were a completely different situation. The Kiryuin head marched towards Reiâs location, stopping only when she was right behind her.
âHave you not caused enough damage?â Her words came out much colder than she may have wished. Satsuki knew that this encounter would come eventually but not so soon. She was at a lost for words. Part of her wanted to rage and unleash all the pent up anger she had so carefully held in for years but it would do her no good nor was it fair in the least bit. To be honest, she knew very little about the Revocs secretary aside from her alliance with her mother. All anger she had would most definitely be misplaced. After taking in a large gulp of air, Satsuki tried to speak once more, this time in a much calmer voice.
âDisregard that last question. It doesnât bear any importance in this day and age. Why have you returned now, of all times?â She had her suspicions as to the reason. With her appearance in disarray, it was secret. All of the Revocs employees dressed to impress. One couldnât step foot into the building if that minor detail wasnât in check. Yet, she wanted to hear this from the woman herself. Maybe this woman held the key to some of the answers she had been searching for.
