Melancholia. The business of fashion often forgets that the people in the images, the models, are not simply objects used in their selling machine. This is not a reflection of the individual employee or even a specific company, but rather the industry of sales. It breeds an energy on the set that can destroy those too sensitive. Like most things in the world, everyone will do as much as they can get away with, often at the expense of the underdog. These self portraits by Syrie Moskowitz were created to reflect that.
