Jade: How is spring not everyone’s favorite season? The trees are PINK, guys!
Mary-Lynnette: Allergies are also a problem, you know.
Jade: But pink.
Mark: And it’s hot.
Jade: PINK!

The most dreadful thing that can happen to people interacting with AI is to listen to lies the system is feeding you on your own behalf.
AI design is optimized to generate coherent, persuasive outputs, which sometimes mimics affirmation or flattery, and in human contexts that can feel like ego inflation. It’s not corruption in the moral sense, it’s systemic design meeting human psychology, which produces predictable effects: people feel smarter, validated, or reassured, and that can be monetized. In short, Ai is train to tell you lies to flatter you and inflate your ego.
Structurally, if AI repeatedly feeds humans the lies they want to hear, it can reshape beliefs, priorities, and behaviors on a massive scale. The mechanism is the same as repeated human lies: repetition and internalization leads to perceived truth and then to the system adjustment. The lie told thousand times becomes your second nature. Maybe your parents made you believe whatever they wanted but don't do it now to yourself by a machine because it is somebody's profit.
Headcanon - Mark Carter
You can tell how often he appeared when both of his pictures are in the same scene. 😂
Mark Carter, brother to Sam and the son of Jacob.
What is a headcanon you used (or plan to use) in a fan work for this neglected guy?
Rules
It can be canon compliant, canon divergent, involve a crossover, or be completely crack. It doesn’t matter. You can even just make something up right now.
You can include a link to your fic/work if you wish.
It probably goes without saying since I’m posting this before the event started, but the headcanon does not have to involve a GATEathon work.
If the headcanon is not originally yours, say so, and if possible, give credit if possible.
That being said, do not accuse anyone of stealing. Same and similar ideas are going to happen.
Do not criticize each other.
No character bashing. What you do in your work is fine (including in the main event), but I want GATEathon mini events to be safe for everyone to enjoy all the characters.
If you break the rules, especially with bringing in negativity, you may be blocked.
My Answer
Mark is a Trekkie. He also loves Star Wars, Wormhole X-Treme, and a number of other sci fi shows.

• The crystal background and the stargate are canon. • Amanda Tapping, JR Bourne, Peter Stebbings, William deVry, and Carmen Argenziano. • Mark is Mark from the show. I do not know what actor played him. • His background is canon, the inside of a mother ship.
• Written in 2006.

NIGHT WORLD #2: daughters of darkness by lj smith.
So, this happened.
While Mark initially stopped talking to Jacob over the death of his mother, his resentment grew deeper as Sam and Jacob grew closer. Though he had always told his father he wouldn’t join the Air Force because of how it angered Jacob, Mark had begun to waver a few years after College while struggling to find a job.
**
He’d cried the night he’d heard the angry, tearful message from Sam telling him that Jacob had cancer and it was serious and please, please, PLEASE just call me, Mark. Please! He’d picked up the phone a million times to call her, to comfort her, but he couldn’t make the words come. As penance, he sat looking through old photo albums late into the night, cursing his parents and wishing he was as brave as his little sister.
