I am torn between yes elmo would be distrustful fo Rocky because he looks like a rock, and no because Elmo is smart and observant enough to see that Rocky is a actually a living creature who deserves respect.

My thoughts are, would Elmo (or any of the other muppets) be able to understand Rocky's native language?

What would Rocky think of all the music that goes on in town? Personally I think he would have severe emotional whiplash going from ecstatic highs where he dances up and down the street singing his own song, because it is not just Grace that sings and sounds vaguely like eridian speech, but an entire town/planet, and complete and total overwhelm at both what was said above, and the kindness and generosity of these aliens and their alien friends.

If we're talking sesame Street as puppets and not animated sentient characters, I can also imagine Rocky breaking the 4th wall and wondering, on camera, why they talk to these fabric people that aren't real, but on the flip side, I can also see him commiting so hard to the bit it would put earth's best actors to shame.
