a lot of people have talked about how much they love the way father jud talks to louise (same) but it seems like i'm the only one who got really excited about him unceremoniously shutting the door on blanc to do it. tbh it took me a bit to figure out why that hit me so hard.
it's about boundaries and autonomy. it's like he's saying: i will happily defer to you in most things, but this is a hard line. my work is a part of my life you can't touch. and blanc doesn't. they don't try to change each other and they respect each other's domains.
