Which of your ships deserve better writing?

I’m actually gonna go CM here and say Garcia x Kevin, that was just… What??? It wasn’t my favourite ship, it wasn’t one i’d get mushy over casually planning their fictional wedding, but i liked it, you know? It was cute, my point is, and i’m not even really talking about the fact that they broke up as much as i am as How they chose to do it??? it made no sense!!!! so many avenues, some could have even addressed that garcia’s invasion of his privacy and professional life was Bad Bad Bad but… we got what we got. Course we did. She didn’t want him to go so badly she basically comitted a crime to keep him there but then just… ugh anyway i will just rant if i carry on but wtf 

Still mad at Culber dying in discovery. Like, I get it, epic love story, death cannot beat us blah blah blah, and as time passes it lessens the visceral blow of how it was to do this real time, but i remember the consequence was the kick in the teeth to whom this relationship was representing (which, ~kind of~ is me but also not really so i’m not talking about me), and when people binge in the future, it won’t have that impact at all and the whole set of shitty circumstances will be lost, but it Did happen and the people upset about it did not deserve it and i don’t think i’m ever gonna forget that reaction. Which isn’t perhaps exactly what the question asked but also kind of is in context of common media tropes affecting viewers’ perspectives???

i believe janto deserved better writing. The kind of writing where Ianto didn’t die. That was bad. Living is good writing and dying is bad and it was bad. 

Hoo boy, Mulder and Scully. Not even gonna elaborate because it’d take 18 years but Damn. 

This is questionable for this answer because my main issue here is not Really the ship but rather how the female character was treated, but Cordelia x Angel on Angel the series was just… It did so well until it Did Terribly and it wasn’t so much the ship writing as it was how horrifically Carpenter was being treated as an actress by a certain someone named W/hedon just because she was pregnant. But the characters’ relationship deserved So Much More than the crap that happened, it was poignant and i’m a million times more mad at the bts shit but i can’t deny the ship deserved better writing. 

BUT i almost forgot Reid x Maeve AKA my peak CM bitterness (in regards to ships, anyway) and @ breen frazier and MGG creating female characters Just to fridge them and make men sad isn’t innovative and ur so goddamn boring and ugh
