20 things I learned in 20 years:
Eat whatever you like, life’s too short to worry about calories
Read
If you’re thinking of going to therapy, do it, even if the people around you think it’s a waste of time, because it isn’t
Don’t waste energy on trying to achieve the perfect body. Perfection doesn’t exist
If you fell like you want to be creative but you’re inconsistent, just start a journal and fill it with anything that comes to your mind
Buy those concert tickets
Take videos when you’re with your friends
No one is forcing you to put a label on your sexuality. Kiss whoever you want. Be gay do crime
Sing in the shower
Instead of talking about climate change, do your little every day to fight against it. Discuss it less, act more.
Religion is a spiritual choice that everyone should be free to make for themselves. If you realise your beliefs don’t align with the ones you grew up with, you can change them.
Talk with your grandparents as much as you can
Seeing your friends less doesn’t necessarily mean your feelings have changed, you’re just leading different lifestyles
Treat People With Kindness
Don’t feel guilty if you want to just relax and spend all day on Pinterest. You’re allowed to have some quiet time to recharge
If you still think studying sciences at College is harder than studying humanities, go spend a week studying English and we’ll see if you’ll still be mocking us
You’re allowed to change your mind. If you want to pursue a different career path, just go for it
Following a strict study schedule doesn’t work for everyone. Do what’s best for your wellbeing
Every time you start panicking about something, try thinking about a song you like. Just think about the lyrics for a while, maybe even sing them quietly to yourself. It might not work for everyone but it sure does for me
The less you act on it, the more likely you’ll spend months wondering if that stranger was the love of your life
First Line Game
@asarcasticwitch tagged me soooo here we go?
Rules: List the first lines of your last 20 stories (if you have fewer than 20, just list them all!). See if there are any patterns. Choose your favorite opening line. Then tag some people to take part.
Starting with my oldest fic to newest (of the first 20 that is)
Pack Doesn’t End in Blood: Looking back at everything Peter realized he could pinpoint the exact moment that the events of this day had become inevitable.
Becoming Pack: If someone had told Noah Stilinski eight years ago on his wedding day that werewolves existed and one day he’d be in love with one he would have called them a cab and sent them on their way home to sleep off the obvious drunken delirium.
Spark Lost, Spark Found: Everything was burning
Building Pack: Living with a werewolf was both what you might expect and nothing like what you’d expect.
How It’s Meant to Be: “You must be Stiles.”
Searching for Pack: Stiles had never been afraid of werewolves.
Naming Pack: “Marry me.”
Reclaimed: “You should claim him.”
Five Times Someone Tried and Failed to Intimidate the Sheriff: “Sheriff, fine evening for shopping.”
Saving Pack: Her entire life had been a lie.
Five Times the Sheriff Took Care of His Pack: Scott hated everything and everyone right now.
Last Call: It was a lucky thing that the kid walked in on a Wednesday night.
All I Need: The first time he’d sucked down on Ward Cameron’s cock he’d been 15 and desperate
Unexpected: Peter hated parties like this.
Open a Tab: He’d honestly thought he would never see the kid again after that Wednesday night.
Longest Night: Derek usually cursed his boyfriend’s clumsy flailing, as often it led to perilous situations that caused his heart to almost stop.
What Big Teeth You Have: Going out in the woods to search for half of a dead body was one of the top five worst decisions he had made in his life.
Beautiful in the Woods: Watching his daughter suckle milk from his body was still one of the most amazing and insane things he’d ever seen.
Bingo Night: “Not here, not there, gah!”
Bloody Valentine: “Just kill me. Look, I don’t care anymore.”
And that’s 20! Well....my first thought is that I did the wrong thing and used dialogue way too many times to open a fic. The second is that my second fic had one long run on sentence. I’m also amused the only non Teen Wolf fic on here is where I used the word cock. But I don’t really see a pattern. I do need to up my first line game though, shudders.

20 things I learned in 2020 #2
Μην.

20 Beautiful Things
20 Reasons To Live
So I just relapsed after 4 months of not cutting, and I am feeling a little better now, but I figured, I might as well make a list.
1. The sunrise when it is purplish but also has oranges and pinks. It may be the prettiest thing besides...
2. The city at night. Listening to your music in the city, when all the lights have gone out and you are in your bubble of perfectness.
3. A good audiobook. Need I say more? Just hearing somebody read something amazing in an amazing way makes me so happy.
4. When you nail the high note at the top of the song, and you can just hear how cleat and amazing it is and you want to hit it over and over.
5. The awful holiday movie that doesn't make any sense, but you somehow still love (cough cough Jingle All The Way cough cough)
6. Sitting out on a lake all along in a kayak with a cold drink and a good book.
7. Seeing your friends fall in and out of love. In and out of friendship. Watching them grow and change and develop. Being a friend.
8. Going to the small local amusement part really late at night, and losing all sense of what is embarrassing. Talking to complete strangers. Running across the park holding your close friend's hand.
9. Doing something stupid with your family. March Madness truly is madness in my house. All hell breaks loose, and it is amazing.
10. The first day of spring when you don’t need a jacket, and you can feel the sun, and you just stand outside...
11. Just being around your best friends. They are the people who have always been there for you, and they mean more than anything. They are the ones who you want to live and die with.
12. Seeing the old friends you haven’t seen in forever, and everything just falling into place. Everything just picks up where it left off, and you just feel right. There is something about being around the people who have known you since elementary school, is just soothing and calming, and you feel more like yourself than any other time.
13. Fabric folded perfectly. Just the way all of the corners line up perfectly, and everything just fits into place. It is satisfying to me.
14. A whiteboard at the library filled with so many story ideas, and they just keep creating more and more and more, and you just feel so creating and ready to conquer the world.
15. A cold glass of water with ice.
16. Writing outside at night in the summer, sitting cross-legged on a chair, and the cool air washing over you.
17. An outfit that just works. It all fits perfectly, and fits your mood, and looks good on you, and makes you feel confident. Just something to make you feel like the best you. It’s great.
18. Sitting on the couch, with a computer, and just writing.
19. Getting home and having no homework.
20. Lists
These are just my things. Find what makes you happy, and just follow it. Enjoy the little beautiful things, whatever they are to you, and love them.
**I started making this post at the end of December 2018. That is when the context is. I just wanted to acknowledge it.**
