Who’s Going Where
I know we’re all dying to know which companies the 2018 graduates are joining but, at the moment, most of the information floating around is based on heresy. Here’s what’s been confirmed so far.
Davide Loricchio: Royal Ballet - confirmed by his teacher, Fethon Miozzi
Ervin Zagidullin: Mariinsky - confirmed by his teacher, Fethon Miozzi
Orine Anzai: Mariinsky - announced by Grand Audition Dance
2018 Metcalf Honorees
Yesterday was a milestone for many of our student workers- They graduated! Student workers help in all areas of the libraries, both behind the scenes and in patron services, and in all of the campus branches. We don’t know what we’d do without them, so every year we like to say thank you by hosting a luncheon for them. Above you will see many of our honorees sporting their new lemon-yellow stoles (the official color of library science), gifted to them by director Alexia Hudson-Ward to wear during the commencement ceremony.
Thank you to all of our student workers for your years of help and dedication. And, of course, congratulations to Oberlin College Class of 2018 on your graduation yesterday! We wish you all the best!
“Time to CELL-ebrate! 🎓🔬👩🏼🔬 These two years have been a complete whirlwind. I’ve gone from a lost, weird mortuary girl to a confident, ambitious woman in science (but still kinda weird). I feel like I’ve fully grown into the person I’ve always wanted to be, and through many sacrifices I came out on the other side a stronger person. I’m forever grateful to my family, friends, and mentors that have been with me all throughout this journey and the future ones. I have an amazing grad present planned to reward myself before Grad school 😉 (*i didn’t have room to write ‘future’ PA on the cap but u get the point lol, shout out to @iheartguts for the stickers!)” - Repost from @formaldehottie
My Mom - #17
*I was given a graduation gift at church when they recognised all the 2018 grads. During communion my mom leaned over to me and whispered:*
Mom: “If there is any chocolate in there it should be mine because I got you through all this.”
Me: “Sure thing, Mom.”
Mom: “I shouldn’t have to tell you these things.”
Me: “Whatever you say, Mom.”
Mom: “You’re a good child.”
Me: “Thanks Mom.”
Mom: “You’re welcome.”
