1703. Febr. - den 6ten Nürnberg Nachdem Sie nun also die Höfe derer hohen Anverwandten, so viel als die Gelegenheit und das Propos lidte, besucht, giengen Sie den 6. über Hailsbronn nacher Nürnberg. So bald Sie hier die Anwesenheit des Herrn Marggrafens von Bayreuth vernahmen, unterliessen Sie nicht, Denenselben Dero Compliment zu machen, zumalen da Dero erstere Gemahlin eine Würtembergische Printzeßin, und derer drey Printzen Herrn Vatters leibliche Schwester war, mithin die Anverwandtschafft Sie hierzu noch mehrers antrieb: Wie Sie sich denn sehr erfreuten, die Gelegenheit wider alles Vermuthen erlangt zu haben, Dero Devoir auch diesen Durchl. hohen Anverwandten bezeugen zu können. Nach dessen Verrichtung liessen Sie sich die Raritäten dieser Stadt zeigen, begaben sich dahero in des berühmten Künstlers Hauschens Rüst-Kammer woselbsten Sie solche rare mechanische Dinge sahen, von denen man nicht glauben sollte, daß sie von Menschlicher Hand könten verarbeitet werden. Weiter betrachteten Sie, doch nur in aller Kürtze und Geschwindigkeit das Rath-Hauß, weilen dasselbige eines von den schönsten in gantz Teutschland seyn solle. Ferner den raren Brunnen, welcher die Gestalt einer Pyramide hat, worauf die drey tapffersten Christen-Könige, Clodovæus in Franckreich: Hertzog Gottfried von Bouillon, und Kayser Carl der Fünffte: Ferner die drey tapffersten Helden der Juden; Als Josua, David und Judas Maccabæus; Und dann die drey tapffersten Heyden, Hector, Alexander der Grosse, und Julius Cæsar abgebildet stehen. Nach diesem liessen Sie sich auch dasige schöne und weitläuffige Bibliothec des Raths auf dem Prediger-Closter zeigen, worauf der damahlige Herr Bibliothecarius Feuerlin, Pfarrer zu St. Sebald die Printzen nicht allein durch artige und lustige Historien-Erzählungen, sondern auch durch die Fürweisung allerhand curieuser Dinge sehr angenehm aufzuhalten wußte, und zwar mit so geschickter Art, daß er immer etwas ernstliches unter die Curiosa mengte, so daß eine ziemliche Zeit vorbey striche, ehe man es gewahr nahme, daß man sich über die Zeit aufgehalten. Dann da kame er bald mit Lutheri Glas hervor, welches er mit dieser Überschrifft seinem Freund Vitriario verehrte: Dat vitrum vitrio Jonæ vitrum ipse Lutherus, Ut fragilem, vitro similem, se noscat uterque

1703. Febr. - 6th Nürnberg
