PAUL MCCARTNEY: That was the only consolation when John got killed. Was I thought Thank God we got it back together.
And I don't know what I would've thought if we hadn't, and we were still warring and he got killed. I'd think Oh, I've lost my chance, to make peace.
MORGAN NEVILLE: Do you know today's anniversary?
PAUL: Oh my god. I don't- I don't keep anniversaries like that. It's today, is it? What's that make you feel?
It makes me feel that the guy who did it is still in New York, and he's in a jail. And he's still knocking around. I mean it's-
MORGAN: It's hard to make sense of.
PAUL: You can't make sense of- the world is a very, sort of, bizarre place, as we all know. But, something like that happens, and it's like for what reason?
And you can't work out, the guy himself, I don't think had much of a reason. I mean, terrible, just, you know, rob the world of this crazy genius.
