This fur-lined tea cup and saucer made by Meret Oppenheim was one of 694 items shown at the Museum of Modern Art's exhibition of Fantastic Art, Dada and Surrealism, December 9, 1936. The show was concerned with irrational artistic manifestations from the 15th century to the present.
