"We're at work, Buck."

"Just one kiss, Eddie!"

Buck and Eddie has just started their relationship— it's all new and exciting, even if it's been a long time coming. It all feels delicate and fragile but in the most beautiful of ways.

They want to keep it to themselves, just for a little bit. Just until they're more comfortable into this new dynamic between them.

Except—

The secret is hard to keep when Buck can't keep his hands to himself at work. (If we're being completely honest here, Eddie can't either. He's just better at hiding it.)

"We're at work, Buck." Eddie says, trying to sound stern but failing miserably at it. The corners of his lips curve slightly, in a smile he's trying with every cell in his body to suppress. "We're gonna get caught."

"Just one kiss, Eddie." Buck insists, a glint in his eyes that Eddie knows to well. "C'mon, baby. No one is here right now. Bobby it's in his office and the rest of the team is in the bunkers. It's just us."

Baby.

This is new. It's the thing. It's new and exciting and it's something that Eddie has ached and yearned and dreamed for, for years. It's something he never really thought he'd have but that he has dared to hope.

And the real thing? Way better than any fantasy his mind could conjure.

The way Buck calls him baby, the way Buck's hands touch him in such a worshipful, careful, loving way. It's magical and amazing and Eddie is defenseless, it's the problem.

So, of course, he folds. He folds!

He lets down the hand coming in between Buck's and his lips and he surrenders. What else can he do?

He lets Buck kiss him and he kisses back.

It feels exactly like the first time but also like they've been doing these for all of their lives. Is intoxicating and addicting, yet soft and natural and tender. It's all of the things Eddie never really thought a kiss could be, but that Buck has taught him.

It's a tiny taste of paradise. Just for a few seconds.

Until—

"I knew it!" Chim screams, just a few feet away from them, making them jump apart from the surprise. "I called it!"

"No, you called it a month ago!" Hen is close behind and Eddie sighs, knowing they'll never know peace ever again.

It was nice while it lasted, he guesses.
