I’m not crying, you’re crying! 😭

buck isn't breathing. he doesn't have a pulse. he was trapped under rubble but now eddie is there. he's doing chest compressions. mouth to mouth. he's yelling at buck: don't do this to me. not now. not when i... buck finally sucks in a lungful, blinking up at him with his devastating blue eyes, rasping: eddie? and they are so close, eddie's forehead pressed against buck's, tears marking a path through the dust on his face. he croaks: hey bud and they are still sharing air, heaving and grabbing at each other as relieved laughter bubbles up through a sob. he's not thinking when he does it. he closes the barely-there distance, capturing buck's lips with his own, a smile still pulling at his dimples
Me : tryna act like I don’t care Buddie ain’t happen tonight
WHO WILL TELL TIM AND THE WRITERS THAT A DRAMA SHOW WILL HAVE SO MUCH FUCKING DRAMA IF BUDDIE WERE CANON????
like imagine any life-threatening or dangerous or reckless moment this season but make it 'buddie is canon pov' and it's a masterpiece, I'm crying, screaming, throwing up !!
buck crying over bleeding out eddie in the elevator trying to save him? yes please!
buck and eddie have a domestic fight over reckless on call behaviour after the bridge jump? give me two!
buck joins diaz boys after abuela passed away and learning traditions and culture? I'm here!
eddie waits with buck for news about theo and they have a talk of a possible adoption? oh please
buck deep searches for any possible solutions for immigration situation?
if you really want, eddie experiences crisis in his religious journey because it was complicated before but now he's dating a man and he's confused and shit but they talk about it and apparently buck is ready to go to the church for services of eddie wants and he is ready to listen to his uncomfortable thoughts and worries and they navigate this thing together and it doesn't matter now to what conclusion they come
eddie and buck going through withdrawal? and the consequences of it? and eddie is scared to death he's losing him and buck just hates himself because eddie deserves better and he's weak and useless?
the entire 'mother's boy' episode?? but imagine the level of terror and emergency and drama and the entire buck's sacrifice speech would be more dramatic and emotional
nashville mess?? but like to make them a power couple gossiping about literally everyone's business and ranking other houses drama?
they take ravi out to find him a girlfriend and have a fun night out + doing a stupid competition who can get more numbers because they're idiots and they're competitive and ravi has the time of his life
eddie buying buck at the auction? IMAGINE
you can create the entire arc from the buckley parents divorce. my option: buckley parents drop the divorce news at the restaurant, buck says "oh nice, well I have a boyfriend and a kid, if we just share things out of the blue now" or whatever. I can feel the silence at the table and a whole episode of 118 conversations and jokes.
them being distant in the finale because eddie is still learning to trust being vulnerable and buck is still learning that he's not too much. and eddie goes to "grab a coffee" and it takes three seconds before buck goes with him and finds him in the chapel. and he just sits with him silently and he listens when eddie prays out loud because he knows eddie is searching and he's here to support no matter what he finds?
excuse me? do you see the picture? I can literally think of every moment in the season and make it double dramatic by adding ONE ELEMENT. these are just ones I can think of without rewatching the season.
anyway, I'm upset about the finale, it was kinda underwhelming and literally 90% of the set-up didn't pay off.. I think I was expecting a more emotional and heartbreaking episode with many epiphanies and realisations and characters being highly affected by the situation.
okaaay s10, I still, somehow, 7 years later, have a hope
okay my entire thoughts on the buck-theo plot because I need to scream it into the void
Negative
The sperm donor aspect is kind of odd to me. I don’t know how to explain but it just feels like it’s sending the message that “biology outweighs family” or whatever. I genuinely don’t know how to articulate this thought but. Yeah.
Why didn’t any other family members take theo? I know this one has been said a lot but I wish they would’ve added a scene where the social worker, back at the hospital says “It’s hard to find a family member to place him with, they all made it clear they want nothing to do with him” (or something along the lines of that). I’m hoping they’ll mention it in season 10 to fix the little plot hole.
Postives
Buck has a kid! HE HAS A KID!! Finally finally finally oh my god. That’s all he’s ever wanted. A kid a kid a kid!!! And he is gonna love that kid so much
lots of good plotlines can come with Theo, and will be fun to watch or just interesting. Buck overwhelmed, Theo throwing tantrums, all the things.
Firefam coparenting!! Everyone helping Buck out with his new kid :))) maddie talking him through the hard days, chim playing with Theo, hen helping around the house, Eddie just being Eddie, may, ravi, and Harry being awesome babysitters.
as an add-on to that, Buckley-Diaz coparenting! Chris is gonna be the best big brother and yay more buddie scenes :D
Okay thank you for reading this
Wasn’t planning on showering tonight but I have to wash the stink of that finale off
