#aac question

what do u use for aac (both tablet and app!) would it be possible to get on an Android phone? since its all I have device wise, thank you! - otto

My therapy homework this week is to try a new form of communication/AAC…

But maybe I’ll be a *bit* brave and compromise with the unicorn or skull boogie board bc it’s smaller but it still has a cute pattern on it ☺️

But I really don’t know… I have communication cards but I only use them with close friends. This would be for like ordering at a restaurant or asking for help finding something specific in a store; does anyone else use other tools when they’re non/semi verbal that they recommend?

So I have question anyone can answer but I think @gwydion-aacblog talks about and I would be happy if he replied.

I am autistic, and I do not know how to say this correctly (please tell me), but only a little and I am still able to work and school mostly. One issue I have is when I have stress or panic attack or sometime without cause I cannot talk. This can last at the shortest a day but is often a week or more if bad. Sometimes but not always if forced I can say a word or two. During this time i tend to use American sign language. I am not fluent. I do not know what to call this. Normally people call me nonverbal or mute but I feel this is wrong because it's not permanent. I call it temporarily mute normally. I would like to know the correct term.
