Abdul Salis in The Wheel of Time (s3) as Eamon Valda
Ive got my nitpicks with the amazon prime WoT show, but this season has definitely shown things are going in a good direction. They need to stop teasing me and show the Finn and give Mat his Ashandarei already, whether they are going to hang his ass for it or not, but otherwise most of my favorite aspects of the books have been handled really well. (Min is feeling like a bit of a fumble to me too, tbh) The Aes Sedai, the Aiel, Warder bonds, Tel'aran'rhiod, and so many other bits have been handled amazingly. Shohreh Aghdashloo was an amazing choice for Elaida, though I have a heavy bias from how much I loved her portrail of Chrisjen Avasarala in The Expanse adaptation. The White Cloaks too. Someone please give Abdul Salis an Emmy, cuz he will be Eamon Valda in my head forever more. Call my standards low (more than one person has), but I dont think enough people remember or had to experience 90s/2000s Sci-Fi Channel adaptations and the ever looming bogeyman of Red Eagle Productions. Changes were always going to happen when adapting a series with over a dozen books, and I think the team responsible for the current series has done a phenomenal job by any standard and far better than I expected when I heard Bezos got his grubby mitts on it.

All You Need Is Love: a Seasonal Trip Down Memory Lane with "Love Actually"
I feel it in my fingers. I feel it in my toes. We're finishing out my picks for this year's Nostalgia November and ringing in the holiday season with the Christmas classic, "Love Actually."
Content Warning: Love Actually contains depictions of workplace sexual harassment, womanizing, infidelity, annoying early 2000s fatphobia, low-key stalking, and parental/spousal death. Also, it’s very early 2000s, so it hasn’t aged perfectly but it’s still fun. Viewer discretion is suggested. If you’re under the age of 18, stay in a child’s place. There’s nothing for you here. Propaganda
Xenk Yendar, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) Portrayed by: Regé-Jean Page
“He's a knight (paladin) so pure he'll make you sick. The goodest good guy to ever pick up a blade and swear to protect those who can't protect themselves. His autistic rizz has captured me body and soul. We meet him saving a child/cat (a twofer in ways to make you like a guy) and giving gold to a beggar. He kicks ass, he gives good advice, 'Neither virtue nor blade shall break' is on his sword. He's got gods most tragic backstory He's tooth-rotting perfect and it's glorious to watch.”
Eamon Valda, The Wheel of Time (2021-) Portrayed by: Abdul Salis
“He's an evil asshole but he has the most gorgeous perfect face and sexy voice.”
