My Experience With Addiction (TRIGGER WARNING)
TRIGGER WARNING ON THIS POST. READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION. MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR ALL READERS.

Recovery Poem
I struggled. Struggled to fight, to breathe,to live. Breathless, I beg; beg to be myself again. On my knees, crying, asking for a miracle. “Just take the disease away!” I scream, silent screams. Nothing avails. So I pray. My last hope, when it should have been my first.

Addiction Poem
I remember. I remember stumbling, falling, losing track of who I was. What I wanted, my goals, no longer did they matter. Selfish, conceited, sick; it consumed me. Time; I’ll never get it back. Wasted.

Thankful
Today, I am so very thankful. I am thankful for each and every one of you. I have been struggling to no end with the desire to drink, but I have not given in because of the tremendous amount of support I have received! I have had so many people reach out to me to make sure I’m okay and to give me encouraging words. And for that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Today, I am also thankful…
