Happy birthday!
To me I guess! 24, I never thought I'd make it here, I spent many years in situations that, in hindsight should've killed me, and yet here I am, from being shot, freezing to death on the city streets, my door getting kicked in by the police, being femme in prison, ( and a trans woman, IV fentanyl use through the vein in my neck, living as a sex worker from my teens to 21, an abusive marriage. Getting stabbed, multiple rapes, homelessness at 14. years of unending dysphoric life, I was certain I'd die unhappy, unfulfilled, always wondering " what if?" Earlier this month, I decided that It was time to draw the curtains closed, OR live my authentic life. And for the first time in 20 years, I'm happy :) I've got so so many reasons to smile! I love my gorgeous man, I'm finally expressing who I am again, today he's taking me out and plans to treat and spoil me all week.
Life gets better, if you're out there struggling with who you are, condemning yourself to execution at the hands of your own actions, it isn't worth it. It'll never be worth it. The drugs won't work forever. I promise you id have found it out if they could. transition is your only way out. I promise. Please save yourself, sooner than I did. However you can as quickly as you can. I promise you life is so much better when you stop pretending to be someone that everyone can see you aren't anyway.
